Unable To Maintain Adjusted Coring Depth
Product: Pro Core® 864/1298 Jan 12, 2012
Affected Units:
Situation:
Wear in the hex feature area of Depth Control Assembly (110-4502) and Worm Gear Shaft (110-
4580) can cause loss of the depth setting on both 3 point Pro Core aerators.

Solution:
Replace Depth Lock Plate. Verify that the replaced Depth Lock Plate has firm contact with the hex feature of Worm Gear Shaft. Inspect Worm Gear Shaft for wear or “rounding” of the hex feature that mates with Depth Lock Plate; wear in that area will contribute to the depth control slipping condition and may require the replacement of worm Gear Shaft.
We suggest that you inspect these areas for wear prior to each season’s use of your Pro Core aerator to maintain reliable control of the adjusted coring depth.
