Donotoperatethemachinewhilewearingsandals, tennisshoes,sneakers,orshorts.Also,donot wearloosettingclothingwhichcouldgetcaught inmovingparts.Alwayswearlongpantsand substantialshoes.Wearingsafetyglasses,safety shoes,andahelmetisadvisableandrequiredby somelocalordinancesandinsuranceregulations.
WhileOperating
Donotruntheengineinaconnedareawithout adequateventilation.Exhaustfumesarehazardous andcouldpossiblybedeadly.
Themaximumseatingcapacityisoneperson.Never carrypassengers.
Sitontheseatwhenstartingtheengineandoperating themachine.

Iftheenginestallsorthemachinelosesheadwayand cannotmakeittothetopofaslope,donotturnthe machinearound.Alwaysbackslowlystraightdown theslope.
Donottakeaninjuryrisk!Whenapersonorpet appearsunexpectedlyinorneartheoperatingarea, stopoperation.Carelessoperation,combinedwith terrainangles,ricochets,orimproperlypositioned guardscanleadtothrownobjectinjuries.Donot resumeoperationuntiltheareaiscleared.
Donottouchtheengineormuferwhiletheengine isrunningorsoonafteritisstopped.Theseareas couldbehotenoughtocauseaburn.
Maintenance
Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchtoprevent accidentalstartingoftheenginewhenservicing, adjusting,orstoringthemachine.
Performonlythosemaintenanceinstructions describedinthismanual.Ifmajorrepairsare everneededorassistanceisdesired,contactan AuthorizedToroDistributor.

Toreduceapotentialrehazard,keeptheenginefree ofexcessivegrease,grass,leaves,andaccumulations ofdirt.Neverwashawarmengineoranyelectrical partswithwater.
Besurethatthemachineisinsafeoperating conditionbykeepingnuts,bolts,andscrewstight. Checkthefanshaftbearingmountingboltsand nutsfrequentlytobesurethattheyaretightenedto specication.
Makesurethatallhydrauliclineconnectorsare tightandallhydraulichosesandlinesareingood conditionbeforeapplyingpressuretothesystem.
Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompinholeleaks inhydrauliclinesthatejecthighpressurehydraulic uid.Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulic leaks.Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecan penetrateskinandcauseinjury.Fluidaccidentally injectedintotheskinmustbesurgicallyremoved withinafewhoursbyadoctorfamiliarwiththis formofinjuryorgangrenemayresult.
Beforedisconnectingorperforminganyworkon thehydraulicsystem,allpressureinthesystemmust
berelievedbystoppingtheengineandloweringthe blowertotheground.
Iftheenginemustberunningtoperforma maintenanceadjustment,keephands,feet,clothing, andotherpartsofthebodyawayfromthefanand othermovingparts.
Donotoverspeedtheenginebychangingthe governorsettings.Tobesureofsafetyandaccuracy, haveanAuthorizedToroDistributorcheckthe maximumenginespeedwithatachometer.
Theenginemustbeshutoffbeforecheckingtheoil oraddingoiltothecrankcase.
Toensureoptimumperformanceandsafety,always purchasegenuineTororeplacementpartsand accessoriestokeepthemachineallToro.Never
use“will-t”replacementpartsandaccessories madebyothermanufacturers.LookfortheToro

Lubrication
Thedebrisblowerhas(2)fanshaftbearingsthatmust belubricatedregularly.Thebearingsarelocatedoneach sideoftheblowerhousing.Ifthemachineisoperated undernormalconditions,lubricatebearingswithNo.2 generalpurposelithiumbasegreaseafterevery8hours ofoperationordaily ,whichevercomesrst.Lubricate ttingsimmediatelyaftereverywashing,regardlessof theintervallisted.
BearingAlignment
Ifthemotormountingbracketsareeverremoved,they mustberealignedbeforethedebrisblowerisoperated. RefertothePartCatalogfortheAlignmentToolpart number.

defective.Examplesofpartswhichareconsumed,orusedup,during normalProductoperationinclude,butarenotlimitedto,brakes padsandlinings,clutchlinings,blades,reels,bedknives,tines, sparkplugs,castorwheels,tires,lters,belts,andcertainsprayer componentssuchasdiaphragms,nozzles,andcheckvalves,etc.
Failurescausedbyoutsideinuence.Itemsconsideredtobeoutside
inuenceinclude,butarenotlimitedto,weather,storagepractices, contamination,useofunapprovedcoolants,lubricants,additives, fertilizers,water,orchemicals,etc.
Normalnoise,vibration,wearandtear,anddeterioration.
Normal“wearandtear”includes,butisnotlimitedto,damageto
seatsduetowearorabrasion,wornpaintedsurfaces,scratched decalsorwindows,etc.
Parts
Partsscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenancearewarranted fortheperiodoftimeuptothescheduledreplacementtimeforthatpart. Partsreplacedunderthiswarrantyarecoveredforthedurationofthe originalproductwarrantyandbecomethepropertyofT oro.Torowill makethenaldecisionwhethertorepairanyexistingpartorassemblyor replaceit.T oromayuseremanufacturedpartsforwarrantyrepairs.
NoteRegardingDeepCycleBatteryWarranty:
Deepcyclebatterieshaveaspeciedtotalnumberofkilowatt-hoursthey candeliverduringtheirlifetime.Operating,recharging,andmaintenance techniquescanextendorreducetotalbatterylife.Asthebatteriesinthis productareconsumed,theamountofusefulworkbetweencharging intervalswillslowlydecreaseuntilthebatteryiscompletelywornout. Replacementofwornoutbatteries,duetonormalconsumption,isthe responsibilityoftheproductowner.Batteryreplacementmayberequired duringthenormalproductwarrantyperiodatowner’sexpense.
MaintenanceisatOwner’sExpense
Enginetune-up,lubricationcleaningandpolishing,replacementof ItemsandConditionsNotCoveredlters,coolant,andcompleting RecommendedMaintenancearesomeofthenormalservicesToro productsrequirethatareattheowner’sexpense.
GeneralConditions
RepairbyanAuthorizedToroDistributororDealerisyoursoleremedy underthiswarranty .
NeitherTheToroCompanynorToroW arrantyCompanyisliablefor indirect,incidentalorconsequentialdamagesinconnectionwiththe useoftheToroProductscoveredbythiswarranty,includingany costorexpenseofprovidingsubstituteequipmentorserviceduring reasonableperiodsofmalfunctionornon-usependingcompletion ofrepairsunderthiswarranty.ExceptfortheEmissionswarranty referencedbelow,ifapplicable,thereisnootherexpresswarranty .
Allimpliedwarrantiesofmerchantabilityandtnessforusearelimitedto thedurationofthisexpresswarranty.Somestatesdonotallowexclusions ofincidentalorconsequentialdamages,orlimitationsonhowlongan impliedwarrantylasts,sotheaboveexclusionsandlimitationsmaynot applytoyou.
Thiswarrantygivesyouspeciclegalrights,andyoumayalsohaveother rightswhichvaryfromstatetostate.
