PreparingtheMachine

Procedure
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandengage
theparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey ,andwait
fortheenginetocool.
3.Raiseandsupportthetractionunit.
4.Removethe4lugnutssecuringbothwheelsto
thetractionunit(Figure1).
Important:Ensurethatallliftingequipmentis
ingoodconditionandhasasafeandadequate
capacity.Alwaysseekassistancewhenlifting
awkwardorheavyloads.
Important:Torqueallfastenerstothespecied
torquesettings.Thepartsbeingttedmustnotbe
drilled,cutoralteredinanyway.

beforetighteningthexingbolts.

TocomplywiththeEUNoiseDirective,thedealeris
requiredtoverifythecorrectenginespeedof2,900
rpmwhenthepowerunitisconnectedtoModels
02710and02711and3500rpmwhenthepowerunit
isconnectedtomodel02712.
2900/3500rpmistheunloadedenginerpm,adjusted
withthePTOoff(disengaged).T oleranceisplus0
rpm,minus50rpm.Theengineshouldbewarm;run
theenginefor15minutesbeforeadjusting.Double
checkthenalenginespeed.
3.Turnthehighidlescrewsothattheendofitjust
touchesthespeedcontrollever,andtightenthe
locknut(Figure9).
4.Checkthehighidlespeedandrepeatthis
procedureifnecessary.
5.Loosenthecablescrewandadjustthecable
lengthsothatthethrottleleverontheoperator
controlpanelissettofullthrottlewhenthe
speedcontrollevertouchesthepreviouslyset
highidlescrew.
6.Tightenthecablescrew.
1.Loosenthelocknutandunscrewthehighidle
screwafewturns.Whensettingtheengine
speedonpowerunitsconnectedtomodels
02710and0271 1,replacethehighidlescrew
withthehighidleM5x50screwsuppliedwith
02710and0271 1(Figure9).
