TORNADO M55
The box is connected with 3 cables
- 12V DC - Power supply - 230Volt adapter
- HDMI cable that connects to your TV into an available HDMI input
- WAN - Network cable that connects to your broadband connection / router / Internet connection
Turn on the TV
Use your remote control for your TV to switch to the entrance where you installed the HDMI cable. This is usually done via AV / Source / Input button on your TV remote.
- Remember that there may be multiple HDMI inputs on your TV. Please take note of the number of the input you are using (HDMI1 - HDMI2 etc.)
LIGHTS ON THE FRONT OF THE RECEIVER:

Turn on the BOXTV receiver with the small switch is on the right side of the receiver - here lights should react as follows:
On the TV screen: LOADING PLEASE WAIT while the three lights on the front panel act as follows:
o RED (flashing) o GREEN o RED
Then, the upper light flashes GREEN / RED for approx. 20 seconds.

o GREEN/RED o GREEN o Off
Now the two top ligths are GREEN: Correct status
o GREEN o GREEN o Off
When the box is turned OFF via remote control, the lights act as follows:
o RED (stable) o GREEN (stable)
MAIN MENU
Now use the remote to the BOXTV receiver.
Use the arrows to move from 1) Video (TV Channels) 2) Radio (Radio Channels) 3) Setup
Use the ”OK” button to select and to go to the next menu
TV Channels / Radio Channels
- Use the UP/Down arrow keys to change the program and OK to select the program
- The first time a program is activated, the receiver will buffer the program for 8 seconds
- When later switched to a previously used program, the buffering time will be 1-2 seconds
- When the main switch has been used, the buffering is 8 sec. again
Changing channels
- All programs have a number and you can quickly switch between them by pressing 1-9 on the remote
- Press "1" and wait two seconds for the receiver to switch to program number 1, etc.
- The ”HOME” button returns you to the menu and 2 x "HOME" sends you to the main menu
Additional remote control options:
- RECALL-A-B switches between the two latest programs

- PLAY-PAUSE, stops the broadcast for at while and resumes playback
! By default the receiver has built-in 5-minute memory ! PAUSE is also used if your broadband connection for a short period does not send enough data. Here the
PAUSE feature is used to shortly enable a little more "buffer"
- DISPLAY removes the menu from the screen and returns to TV / Radio
- STANDBY is the red button in the top right corner
- VOLUME (UP/DOWN arrow keys) controls the sound that BOXTV senda to your TV. The TV remote controls the overall volume.
- INFO retrieves data from your broadband connection. This function is a general indication of the signal received from the router. This is not a precise measurement of the total signal, but provides an insight into your ADSL connection data packets which are sent to your BOXTV receiver
ERROR "I can’t enter the main menu"
FIRSTLY ALWAYS CHECK If you are on the correct HDMI input on your TV. SECONDLY ALWAYS INSPECT if you have access to the Internet via your PC.
Error 1 - The middle light is red: no network cable connected
Error 2 - Upper light flashes green / red: Loading data / searching for connection. Wait 20-60 seconds
Error 3 – Top light is red: There is no connection to the DSL / Internet, try your local internet through your
computer. Check if the network cable is properly connected to both the router and BOXTV receiver.
Error 4 - The broadcast is unstable or judders continuously:
- Firstly try ”PLAY/PAUSE” for 1 minut and see if that extra buffer solves your problems.
- Check if your Internet connection retrieves data with 1Mbit or more. (INFO)
- Restart the receiver on the main switch.
