2. Safety Instructions

 Lawn mowers must not be used by children or untrained persons.
 Wear stout shoes or boots to protect your feet.
 Do not operate the appliance when walking barefoot or wearing open sandals.
 Wear long trousers to protect your legs.
 Before using the appliance, remove sticks, stones, wire and other obstacles from the surface to be worked.
 Before use always check the condition of the cutting mechanism.
 Do not use the appliance when the cutting mechanism is worn.
 Never use the appliance with a damaged guard or missing safety precautions, such as deflection and/or

grass collection features.

 Never mow up and down a slope. Always mow the slope transversely.
 Do not mow extremely steep slopes.
 Be extremely careful when moving backwards or pulling the appliance towards you.
 Prevent the cutting mechanism from touching hard objects during use.
 Never attempt to bring the cutting mechanism to a standstill yourself.

 Place the appliance upside down.
 Insert a piece of paper between the blade wheel and the flat blade and carefully rotate the reel blades by

hand.

 All blades should slice the paper evenly along the entire length of the flat blade (B) while the wheel rotates

smoothly.

 lf the appliance has an intermittent cut, adjust the appropriate side of the blades to achieve a proper

cutting performance:

 Loosen both adjustments nuts (A) equally by turning them counterclockwise.
 Tighten both adjustments nuts (A) equally by turning them clockwise.

5. Operation

 Hold the appliance with both hands.
 Keep the appliance away from hard objects and plants.
 When working long grass proceed layer for layer. First set the appliance to the maximum mowing height,

then to a lower mowing height.

 Only use the appliance for working dry grass.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

 The appliance does not require any special maintenance.
 Take the appliance to your dealer to have the cutting mechanism sharpened.

Cleaning the cutting mechanism

 The cutting mechanism must be cleaned after each use.
 Remove large dirt particles using a soft brush.
 Clean the cutting mechanism using a soft cloth.
 Apply a few drops of oil to the cutting mechanism to avoid oxidation.

1. Inleiding

Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt
weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele
batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een gespecialiseerd bedrijf
terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw dealer of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt
brengen. Respecteer de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.

2. Veiligheidsinstructies

 Laat de grasmaaier nooit gebruiken door kinderen of ongeschoolde personen.
 Draag altijd stevige schoenen of laarzen om uw voeten te beschermen.
 Maai nooit blootsvoets of met open sandalen aan.
 Draag een lange broek om uw benen te beschermen.
 Controleer of er geen stokken, stenen, draad of ander afval in het maaigebied liggen.
 Controleer altijd of de snijmessen goed en veilig functioneren.
 Gebruik de maaier niet wanneer de snijmessen versleten of beschadigd zijn.
 Gebruik de maaier nooit met beschadigde beschermingsinrichtingen, afschermingen of ontbrekende

veiligheidsmechanismen, zoals richtingwijzigende of grasvanginrichtingen.

 Maai nooit van boven naar beneden op een helling. Maai altijd van links naar rechts op een helling.
 Maai geen bijzonder steile hellingen.
 Wees uiterst voorzichtig wanneer u achteruit stapt of de maaier naar zich toe trekt tijdens het maaien.
 Voorkom dat de snijmessen met harde voorwerpen in aanraking komen.
 Probeer nooit zelf de snijmessen te stoppen.

 Draai de maaier ondersteboven.
 Plaats een stuk papier tussen de cilindrische snijmessen en het onderste mes. Draai de cilinder voorzichtig

met de hand.
