USER MANUAL

1. Introduction

To all residents of the European Union Important environmental information about this product

This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle could harm the environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service. Respect the local environmental rules.

If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.

Thank you for choosing Toolland. Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, do not install or use it and contact your dealer.

2. Safety Instructions

 This appliance should be installed in accordance to law and regulations. Always use this heater in

accordance with these instructions. Keep this manual for future reference.

 This heater is only for use in a well-ventilated area outdoors. Do not use indoors or in leisure vehicles such

as caravans.

 This device is not to be used in basements or as main heating.  This device requires a flexible gas hose and gas regulator. Check with your gas supplier.  Do not cover the heater with clothing or other fabrics to avoid risks of fire.  Do not move a switched-on heater.  Do not place a switched-on heater alongside walls or near furniture, curtains, bed linen or any other

flammable materials as this could result in a risk of fire.

 The following distances should be respected: 100 cm from the side, 150 cm from the front and 200 cm

above the device.

 Always face the heater toward the centre of the room.  Place the heater on a level surface.  If a leak is suspected, turn off the gas at the cylinder. Do not disconnect the regulator and extinguish all

open flames. Check all the connections, slowly turn the gas on and brush the connections with soapy water. Soap bubbles may point to a gas leak. If a gas leak is found, turn off the gas and inform your gas supplier. Do not use the heater again until it has been checked by your dealer.

 The changing of the cylinders must only be undertaken outdoors in a flame-free environment.  The device is designed for use with butane/propane cylinders with a capacity between 7 and 15 kg.

3. General Guidelines

Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.

Keep this device away from dust and extreme temperatures.

Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.

 Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.  All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications to

the device is not covered by the warranty.

 Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the

warranty.

 Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the

dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.

 Due to constant product improvements, the actual product appearance might differ from the shown images.  Product images are for illustrative purposes only.  Do not switch the device on immediately after it has been exposed to changes in temperature. Protect the

device against damage by leaving it switched off until it has reached room temperature.

 Keep this manual for future reference.

4. Features

5. Operation

5.1 Installation

1. Make sure all components are standing safely.

2. Use a clamping screw to fix the holder on the bottle.

3. Screw the pressure controller and the gas hose on the valve of the gas cylinder.

4. Use the butterfly nut and the chrysanthemum gasket to put the heater to the required position. Fix it on the

stand.

5. Screw the other end of the gas hose to the safety valve. Make sure all the screws are tight.

5.2 Connection to the Gas Cylinder.

Keep the gas cylinder and heater away from any open flames.

1. Use an approved regulator and a gas hose with a length between 40 cm and 50 cm. Avoid twisting the

hose.

2. Slowly turn on the regulator and check if there are no gas leaks. To do so, brush some soapy water on all

connections.

Before putting the device into operation, check for gas leaks at the screwcaps using a detection spray or soapy water. Retighten them if necessary.

5.3 Using the Heater

Never aim the heater at the cylinder. The hose must always trail at the rear of the heater. Never separate a switched-on heater from the gas cylinder.

1. Make sure the heater has been assembled correctly.

2. Open the regulator to feed the gas.

3. Turn the control knob to position 1 and hold pressed. Activate the piezo igniter to create a spark. Keep

pressing the control knob for another 10 seconds.

4. Turn the control knob to position 2 to adjust the flame.

5. To turn off the heater, interrupt the gas feeding by closing the regulator. Once the flame has died out, turn

the control knob back to position 1.

5.4 Changing a Gas Cylinder

Only replace the gas cylinder in a non-flammable and non-smoking environment.

1. Close the valve of the gas cylinder.

2. Unscrew the regulator from the valve of the cylinder. Remove the device. Take the empty cylinder away

from the heater.

3. Make sure the sealing of the pressure controller is still place.

4. Install the heater onto a new gas cylinder. To do so, follow the instructions described above.

5.5 Storage

1. Disconnect the heater from the cylinder. Refer to the instructions described above.

2. Store the cylinder in a well-ventilated area, preferably in an outhouse, away from any combustible

materials.

3. Store the heater in its original package and keep in a dry and dust-free environment.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

 Have the heater checked by a qualified authorized technician once a year.  Periodically check that the gas hose is intact. If it is expired, have it replaced. Only use a gas hose of the

correct length.

Cleaning

 Clean the heater using a soft and dry cloth. Avoid using aggressive, abrasive or inflammable products.

GEBRUIKERSHANDLEIDING

1. Inleiding

Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw dealer of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen. Respecteer de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.

Hebt u vragen, contacteer dan de plaatselijke autoriteiten betreffende de verwijdering.

2. Veiligheidsinstructies

 Installeer het toestel overeenkomstig de geldende wetgeving en normen. Gebruik dit toestel alleen zoals

beschreven in deze handleiding. Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.

 Dit toestel is enkel geschikt voor gebruik buitenshuis, in een goed geventileerde ruimte. Niet geschikt voor

gebruik binnenshuis of in vrijetijdsvoertuigen (bv. caravans).

 Dit toestel is niet geschikt voor gebruik in kelders of als hoofdverwarming.  Gebruik het toestel met de slang en de drukregelaar. Informeer bij uw gasleverancier.  Bedek het toestel niet met kleding of andere voorwerpen, om brandgevaar te voorkomen.  Verplaats het toestel niet wanneer het in werking is.  Plaats een ingeschakeld toestel niet tegen een muur of in de nabijheid van meubels, gordijnen, bedlinnen of

andere brandbare materialen. Dit kan leiden tot brandgevaar.

 Respecteer de volgende afstanden: 100 cm van de zijkant, 150 cm van de voorkant en 200 cm aan de

bovenkant van het toestel.

 Zorg ervoor dat de voorkant van het toestel altijd naar het midden van de ruimte gericht is.  Plaats het toestel op een stabiel en horizontaal oppervlak.  Als u vermoedt dat er een lek is, draai de gastoevoer dicht. Ontkoppel de drukregelaar niet en doof alle

open vuur. Controleer alle aansluitingen. Draai de gastoevoer voorzichtig open en veeg de aansluitingen af met zeepwater. Zeepbellen kunnen wijzen op een gaslek. Als er een gaslek is, draai de gastoevoer dicht en informeer uw gasleverancier. Gebruik het toestel niet opnieuw totdat het gecontroleerd is door uw verdeler.

 Verwissel gasflessen enkel buitenshuis, en uit de buurt van open vuur.  Het toestel is ontworpen voor gebruik met butaan-/propaanflessen met een capaciteit tussen 7 en 15 kg.

3. Algemene richtlijnen

Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze handleiding.

Bescherm het toestel tegen stof en extreme temperaturen.

Bescherm tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht tijdens de bediening van het toestel.

 Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat gebruiken.  Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen. Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft

aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet onder de garantie.

 Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie vervalt automatisch bij ongeoorloofd

gebruik.

 De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer

zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee houden.

 We streven voortdurend naar verbetering van onze producten. Daarom kan dit product uiterlijk verschillen

van de afbeeldingen.

 De afbeeldingen van het product zijn enkel ter illustratie.  Schakel het toestel niet onmiddellijk in nadat het werd blootgesteld aan temperatuurschommelingen. Om

beschadiging te vermijden, moet u wachten tot het toestel de kamertemperatuur heeft bereikt.

 Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.

4. Eigenschappen

5. Gebruik

5.1 Installatie

1. Zorg ervoor dat alle componenten veilig gemonteerd zijn.

2. Gebruik een klemschroef om de houder op de fles te bevestigen.

3. Schroef de drukregelaar en de gasfles op het ventiel van de gasfles.

4. Gebruik de vleugelmoer en de gekartelde pakking om het toestel op de gewenste positie te plaatsen.

Bevestig het op de voet.

5. Schroef het andere uiteinde van de gasfles aan op het veiligheidsventiel. Zorg ervoor dat alle schroeven

vastgedraaid zijn.

5.2 Aansluiting op de gasfles.

Houd de gasfles en het toestel uit de buurt van open vuur.

1. Gebruik een goedgekeurde drukregelaar en een gasslang met een lengte tussen 40 cm en 50 cm. Buig de

gasslang niet.

2. Draai de drukregelaar langzaam open en controleer of er geen gaslekken zijn. Borstel de aansluitingen af

met zeepwater.

Voordat u het toestel in gebruik neemt, controleer de schroefdoppen op gaslekken met een lekzoekspray of zeepoplossing. Indien nodig, draai deze opnieuw vast.

5.3 Het toestel gebruiken

Richt het toestel nooit op de gasfles. Leg de slang altijd naar de achterkant van het toestel. Nooit een gasfles ontkoppelen wanneer het toestel in werking is.

1. Zorg ervoor dat het toestel correct gemonteerd is.

2. Draai de drukregelaar open om de gastoevoer te openen.

3. Draai de controleknop naar positie 1 en houd ingedrukt. Activeer de piëzo-ontsteking om een vonk te

genereren. Houd de controleknop gedurende 10 seconden ingedrukt.

4. Draai de controleknop naar positie 2, om de vlam in te stellen.

5. Om het toestel uit te schakelen, sluit de gastoevoer door de drukregelaar dicht te draaien. Als de vlam

gedoofd is, draai de controleknop opnieuw naar positie 1.
