TMQAM
QAM Modulator
The TMQAM QAM Modulator is a professional quality, modular, digital, headend component designed to provide optimum performance with minimized rack space requirements. The modulator accepts a MPEG2 transport stream input in the SPI format and is capable of providing a QAM output with 16, 32, 64, 128 or 256 constellation points.
Convenient front panel buttons and display allow easy setup of operating parameters.
Forward error correction encoding. DVB or Digicipher II® modes are supported.
Provides Auto or Fixed clock modes.
Built-in PRBS test mode.
Null Packet Stuffing is provided as needed in the internal fixed clock mode.

Designed for use with Drake DUC550 or DUC860 upconverters.

SDQPSK
Digital Satellite Demodulator
The SDQPSK Digital Satellite Demodulator is a professional quality, modular, digital, headend component designed to provide optimum performance with minimized rack space requirements. This demod­ulator receives a PSK modulated signal (usually it will be QPSK) in the L Band range of 950-2150 MHz and demodulates the signal providing an MPEG-2 transport stream digital output. The SDQPSK easily interfaces to the Drake QAM modulator or SD/HD decoder modules via a standard 25 conductor data cable (SPI interface).

DDC806
Digital Downconverter
The DDC806 is a low noise downconverter designed for translating digi­tal signals from their off-air or CATV channel to a 44 MHz IF output. The output of the DDC806 can be connected to a DUC series upconverter to place the digital signal on a new output channel. the DDC806 may be used with VSB, QAM, or QPSK digital signals. VSB signals up to 16VSB and QAM signals up to 256QAM may be translated. The chan­nel bandwidth is fixed at 6 MHz. DUC860/DUC550
Digital Upconverters
The DUC860 and DUC550 are professional, low noise, upconverters used to translate the 44 MHz digital IF signal from the TMQAM modulator or DDC806 downconverter to the desired CATV output channel. Both modules feature low phase noise and can be used for QAM modulation up to 256 QAM. The DUC550 is used for output frequencies between 54 MHz and 550 Mhz. The DUC860 is used or output frequencies between 550 MHz and 860 MHz. This one-unit wide module can be rack mounted using the DRMM12 rack mount.

PS8 Power Supply
DRMM12 Rack Enclosure
Power for an entire rack of Drake Digital modules is provided by the PS8 power supply. In addition to the PS8 power supply, up to 12 Drake Digital modules may be
accommodated by the DRMM12 rack enclosure. The completed assembly occupies two rack units high in a standard 19 inch rack.
The PS8 Power Supply supplies the +5 VDC & +12 VDC required by the Digital Modules. Using appropriate adapters, the PS8 will also power other DRAKE analog Mini-rack System modules sharing the same rack. These include a demod, both fixed and agile modulators as well as audio and video switching modules.
