Toner Cable DOT2 User Manual

It’s a unique approach to broadcasting in the digital domain. As a
stand-alone or custom configurable system, the DOT2 is engineered to
be robust and reliable in a variety of applications.

As a main program source for Independent Television Operators, or as
a secondary program source for multichannel distribution, the system
is engineered for continuous operation 24 x 7.

As a disaster recovery asset, the design allows for uploads of traffic
logs and file based content in order to maintain resiliency in the face of
unforseen catastrophic events. As-run logs can be downloaded daily
to ensure contract compliance.

Supported by a 1.5KVA UPS, the video switcher, character generator
and video server are controlled by an internal automation system.
Network or locally generated event cues are used to intiate commer­cial spot playout, insert graphic elements, ID’s, Logos, and play
recorded shows.

A multiformat, 19” monitor is fed by a multiviewer and KVM for complete access and monitoring of systems
and signals. An auxiliary switcher input allows for main router or other external source to be interfaced as
an additional program feed.

Fully compliant with EAS and CALM ACT mandates, the DOT2 comes complete with alerting, test and log­ging capabilities. The self-normalled patchbay provides access and bypass of all components. An ATSC
A69 compliant, dual channel HD/SD digital encoder and off-air ATSC demod complete the system.

A 3.7 Meter C-Band satellite antenna with feed horn and LNB is included along with complete integration,
commissioning and delivery.
