Broadband VHF and UHF Preamplifiers
The CMA Broadband Preamplifier Series includes professional quality, low
noise, broadband VHF & UHF preamplifiers. These units have been designed
to meet the needs of broadband system installations. The CMA Broadband
Preamplifier Series provide exceptionally high signal handling capability and
gain with good input match, making these preamplifiers ideal for use with
wideband TV antennas. Four models are available, including: CMA-LB, Low
Band VHF; CMA-HB, High Band VHF; CMA-BB, Broadband VF; and CMA-Uc,
Broadband UHF. A 20 dB backmatched test port is supplied, permitting the
unit’s performance to be monitored without interrupting service.
SCMA, SCMA-Ub
Single Channel VHF/FM and UHF Preamplifiers with Guaranteed Noise
Figure
The SCMA Single Channel Preamplifier Series includes professional quality,
very low noise, single channel VHF/FM and UHF preamplifiers. These units
have an all solid-state design utilizing two ‘field-effect transistors’ (FETs).
These devices provide a guaranteed very-high signal-to-noise ratio. The actual noise figure of each individual unit is stamped on the case. The SCMA is
optimized for single VHF/FM channel, while the SCMA-Ub is optimized for a
single UHF channel. These preamplifiers can accept a wide range of input
signal levels and offer excellent gain, making these units ideal for difficult signal areas. Additionally, these preamplifiers have exceptional immunity to overloads caused by strong adjacent channel signals. The SCMA-Ub can also be
ordered with an optional factory tuned internal trap to prevent overload or
intermodulation problems from strong, local channels without significant noise
figure degradation. A20 dB backmatched test port is supplied, permitting the
unit’s performance to be monitored without interrupting service.
CMA-b
Single Channel VHF/FM Preamplifier
The CMA-b is a professional quality, low noise, single channel VHF/FM preamplifier. The CMA-b can accept a wide range of input signal levels and
offers excellent gain, making this preamplifier ideal for difficult signal areas.
Additionally, this unit has exceptional immunity to overloads caused by strong
adjacent channel signals. A20 dB backmatched test port is supplied, permitting the unit’s performance to be monitored without interrupting service.
PS-1526, PS-1536
Preamplifier Power Supplies
The PS-1526 and PS-1536 are professional quality, DC power supplies
designed to power antenna preamplifiers. Both units provide -21 VDC and
allow for a combined VHF and UHF feed to be duplexed with the power feed.
The PS-1536 has a dual output for powering two loads, with a maximum current rating of 100 mA. The PS-1526 has a single output for powering one load,
with maximum current rating of 40 mA. The PS-1526 and PS-1536 are
housed in an aluminum case with a panel mounted fuse and an auxiliary AC
receptacle. Both units offer regulated and surge-protected power. The PS1536 provides an additional level of short circuit protection on the regulator
and a clamped output voltage to protect connected loads.
