Jelly Ball Lamp #2271
USER’S GUIDE
Mesmerizing colors and motion!
Operation:
1. Jelly Ball Lamp requires 3 AA batteries. The battery compartment is located under the base of the unit. Carefully turn the unit over, and remove the battery cover. Install new batteries, being careful to observe proper battery polarity. Alkaline batteries must be used only (e.g. Duracell or Energizer brand). Do not use rechargeable batteries or any other type of batteries because they supply lower voltage and the unit will not perform properly. Never mix old, new or different types of batteries together. Replace the battery compartment cover.
2. Remove the Jelly Balls from the bag and soak in a large plastic cup of tap or distilled water for 12 to 24 hours.
3. Lift off the black cover of the bottle and the rubber stopper at the top of the bottle and fill the bottle with 75% tap or distilled water.
4. Remove the balls from the water in which they have been soaking and rinse them off with cool tap water. Please Note: The Jelly Balls are extremely delicate at this stage. Handle very carefully.
5. Carefully and slowly place 25 balls into the bottle. Do not exceed 25 balls
in the bottle at a time or the pump inside the lamp may not function properly.
6. Fill the container the rest of the way with water and replace the rubber stopper and black cover.
7. Next plug in your external capability switch into the female 1/8" jack, located in the side of the unit. If your switch has a ¼" male plug, then order one of our #1170 ¼" to 1/8" adapters. Make sure the male plug is pressed firmly into the female jack, there should be not gaps. Set the Jelly Ball Lamp’s ON/OFF switch to OFF for external switch use. You can now activate the Jelly Ball Lamp with your switch.
8. When you activate your switch the Jelly Balls will float accompanied by illuminating light. Once you release your switch the Jelly Balls with sink and light will stop.
9. The Jelly Ball Lamp can be used normally without the use of a switch.
Important Notes: Due to switch adaption the AC power adapter function has been disabled for safety reasons. This device will only work through the use of batteries and cannot be altered to work with an AC adapter.
Troubleshooting:
Problem: The Jelly Ball Lamp does not turn on when switch is depressed.
Action #1: Make sure that you press all connections firmly together. Any gaps
may interrupt electrical connection. The Jelly Ball Lamp’s ON/OFF switch needs to be set to OFF for external switch use.
Action #2: Make sure batteries are fresh.
Action #3: Try a different switch with your Jelly Ball Lamp to rule it out as the
source of the problem.
Notes:
If the Jelly Ball Lamp is not used for an extended period, make sure to
remove the batteries and empty the water.
This unit is intended for indoor use only.
Care of Unit:
The Jelly Ball Lamp can be wiped clean with any mild household multipurpose, non-abrasive cleaner and disinfectant. We recommend Simple Green, which is a non toxic biodegradable all-purpose cleaner.
Do not submerge the unit in any fluids, as it will damage the contents and the electrical components.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, as they will scratch the surface of the unit.
