and
Function
of Controls
The following
information
provides
a
basic description
of the
toaster
controls,
their
location
and
the f unction
they
perform.
The operator
must
be familiarwith
the
controls.

1. Timer
Setting
the timer activates
the heating
elements
and
illuminates
the
indicator
light.
When
timing
cycle
is
complete the
timer shuts
off,
heating
elements
tum off
and indicator
light
goes
off .
The
timer range
of
settings is
graduated
from light
to dark.

Light
The
heating indicator light
illuminates
when
the timer
and heating
elements
are on.

Selector Switch is
an energy-saving
switch. When
the
switch is
set on
"Z"
only
the 2
center slots can be
activated
and
when it is
set on "4"
all 4
slots
can be activated.

Carriage Handle
Lifting
the
carriage
handle
lowers
the bread into
the toasting
chambers.
When
the timing
cycle is
comptete
the toasl
is raised
by manually
depressing
the carriage handle.

setting

increase

decrease
time as
necessary.

the
carriage
handle to
lower
the
bread
into the
toasting
chambers.

Wait
for the
completion
of
the
timer
cycle,
timer
will
ring and
indicator
light
will
go
off.

1. Toast
Color
Experiment with
the
timer knob50
you
can find the
proper
setting for
the color
you
desire in
your
toasted
product.
2. Moisture in Bread When
toasting bread
it
is
advisable
to use
one or
two
day old bread. Fresh
bread
contains nrore
moisture
and
is
apt to toast unevenly.
3. Products to Toast Use
your
toaster
for
bread,
texas
toast,
lrozenwatf
les,
English mutfins,
buns
and many
other food items.
4.
Gleaning
Keep
yourtoasterclean.
(See
Section
4 for
cleaning).
5. Clearing Jams
cAuTloN! Disconnect
electric
power
or
unplug
toaster
before attempting
to
remove
a toasl
jam.
Use
extreme cautiontoremoveatoast
jam.lt

if
timepermits,
before
removing
jammed
toast.
Unplug
toaster
before removing
a toast
jam.

heating elements. Darnage

heating
elements

etectrical shock
can result.

CAUTION ! Always
disconnect
electrical
power
or unplug toasler
before
cleaning
or
performing
any
service.
1. Exterior The
exterior of
yourtoaster
may
be
kept
clean
by
wiping with
a sponge
or cloth squeezed
from hot
or
warm
detergent
water.
Wipe
with
clean,
damp
cloth to
remove
detergent
and then wipe
dry.
DO NOT
use an
abrasive
cleanerorabrasive
pads
as
itwillscratch
and dullthe finish. Always
cleanwilhthe
grain
of the steel.

Crumb tray
The
crumbtrayshouldbe
removed
and emptied
daily.
Washcrumblraywithwarmdetergenlwaterand
rinse
with
clear
water.
