OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
PRODUCT MAY VARY SLIGHTLY FROM ILLUSTRATIONS
This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. It may be plugged into an AC electrical outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any other electrical outlet.
CORD PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the
risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to t into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t into the outlet, reverse the plug and try again. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from entanglement or tripping over a longer cord.
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least
as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and
2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.

4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should be serviced and the line cord replaced.
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray and break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.

USING YOUR SKILLET
Solid surface countertops can be easily scratched, cracked, scorched, or damaged, especially when exposed to heat. To prevent damage, the following precautions should be observed when using this product:
Always use a trivet under heat generating sources such as Slow Cookers, Toaster Ovens, Skillets, etc.
Do not place hot pans, pots, ceramic or stoneware inserts, etc. directly on the countertop surface.
Before rst use, rinse and dry your skillet and lid. Season the cooking surface by applying a thin coating of cooking oil and rub in with paper towels.
WARNING: Do not immerse the Removable Temperature Probe in water or any other liquid. Make sure that the skillet socket is completely dry before inserting the Temperature Probe.
After attaching the Temperature Probe to the Cooking Pan as instructed on page 4, Plug cord into a 120-volt power outlet and turn power on. Set the adjustable heat dial to the desired temperature setting. DO NOT USE METAL UTENSILS, as these will scratch the non-stick cooking surface. Use only wood or heat resistant plastic or silicone utensils with your skillet.
Caution: Do not leave plastic untensils in contact with the hot skillet. Note: Use TOASTMATER Removable Temperature Probe Only (TP-02). This skillet must be used with the temperature probe provided. Do not use any other probe or connector.
SPECIAL SAFEGUARDS FOR GLASS LID:
ALWAYS use pot holders or oven mitts when handling lid, as handle may become hot during use. Use caution when removing lid to avoid steam burns.
CAUTION: Glass lid can shatter under direct heat or shatter suddenly under severe temperature changes.
DO NOT place glass lid under broiler, microwave browning element or in a toaster oven.
DO NOT set glass lid on hot burner or on oven heat vent or on cold or wet surfaces. Let lid cool before placing in water.
DO NOT use lid if it has been used in the above manners, even if it does not look damaged.
ALWAYS set glass lid on dry, heat resistant surface for gradual cooling.
ALWAYS handle hot lid with dry pot holders or oven mitts. Do not use wet cloths.
CAUTION: Chips, cracks or deep scratches weaken the glass lid. Weakened glass
can shatter during use. DO NOT use lid if chipped, cracked or scratched.

CARE AND CLEANING
Cooking with the non-stick skillet minimizes the need for oil. As a result, food does not stick, and clean up is easier. Any discoloration that may occur will only impact the appearance of the skillet, and will not affect cooking performance.
1. Before cleaning, turn the skillet control probe to the OFF position, allow to cool and unplug from outlet.
2. Remove the Temperature Probe from the skillet socket.
3. To clean the interior and exterior surface of the glass lid, wash in hot, soapy water. Remove stubborn spots with a plastic or nylon wash pad.
Note: Metal scouring pads will scratch the surface and should not be used. Warning: Do not immerse the Power Probe in water or any other liquid. Warning: Make sure that the skillet is completely dry before attaching the Power Probe. REMOVING DISCOLORATION OF THE NON-STICK SURFACE:
1. Combine 2 tablespoons bicarbonate of soda, ¼ cup household bleach, 1 cup water. Pour into the skillet, cover with lid, and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Do this in a well ventilated area, and avoid breathing in the vapors. In some cases, not all stains can be removed.
2. Wash as indicated above, dry, and if needed, season the skillet with oil before next use.
