Model S F-30
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The TOA SF-30 is a 3-way loudspeaker system capable of being suspended from the ceiling. The system consists of bass-reflex enclosure housing a hevy-duty 12-inch woofer, a constant directivity horn coupled with high-efficiency compression driver, and an exponential horn tweeter. The constant directivity horn ensures a uniform dispersion pattern of 90 degrees horizontal and 40 degress vertical. A high-tech crossover network of –18dB/octave slope is used for crossover between the woofer and the driver. This combination results in an extended smooth frequency response and wide coverage area. The system will handle 120 watts RMS of continuous pink noise and 360 watts of
continuous program material. The rear panel provides ¼" phone jacks and screw-type terminals for full-range operation. The phone jacks can be converted into XLR connectors by removing mounting panel and installing XLR connector. The mid and high frequency level controls are provided on the side of the enclosure. T-nuts for mounting brackets for ceiling suspension are provided on the rear slant and on both sides of the enclosure. Enclosure is finished in grey polyester. The black punched metal front grill is removable.
FEATURES

Ceiling Suspension
Ceiling Suspension
T-nuts for ceiling suspension are provided on rear slant and both sides of enclosure, permitting the SF-30 to be readily suspended from the ceiling when used with the optional brackets, HY-30 and HY-31. (Bolts to fix the brackets to the speaker are supplied with the HY-30.) The angle is adjustable 360 degrees horizontal, and ±10 degrees vertical from the angle in the figure. Refer to the instruction manual of the HY-30 fo r details.
CAUTION: When suspending the SF-30 from the ceiling, be sure to use
both the HY-30 and HY-31 ceiling mounting brackets for safety purposes.
When using the SF-30 without suspending from the ceiling, insert attached rubber pieces into holes of T-nuts.
Separate level controls are provided for mid and high frequencies. Make the level setting according to the environmental conditions, although almost flat frequency response is obtainable as long as the level controls remain within the "NORMAL" ranges.
