• Leave the installation to your TOA dealer because the installation requires expert knowledge. Improper installation may cause the speaker to fall, resulting in personal injury and/or property damage.
• Install the mounting hardware in a location that can structurally support the weight of the mounting hardware and the speaker. Doing otherwise may result in the speaker falling down and causing personal injury and/or property damage.
• Do not use other methods than specified to mount the unit. Extreme force is applied to the unit and the unit could fall off, possibly resulting in personal injuries.
• Tighten each nut and bolt securely. Ensure that the unit has no loose joints after installation to prevent accidents that could result in personal injury.
• Use the specified speaker in combination. Doing otherwise may cause the speaker or component to fall off, resulting in personal injury.
• Do not stand or sit on, nor hang down from the mounting hardware as this may cause it to fall off, resulting in personal injury and/or property damage.
• Avoid touching the unit's sharp metal edge to prevent injury.

2. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The HY-BC1 Back Can is a metal case to be used when installing the flush-mounted ceiling speaker in exposed applications. Mount the Back Can to a ceiling suspension pipe.

3. INSTALLATION
Refer to the speaker's instruction manual for information.
Ceiling
Suspension pipe
To insert the safety wire, punch out the knockout hole and fit it with the supplied rubber grommet.
Note: The grommet's opening is covered with a thin membrane. Cut out this membrane to pass the safety wire through.

Speaker cable
Punch out the knockout hole in the center of the Back Can and fix it to the suspension pipe. The knockout is of concentric type for 22 mm and 28 mm diameter holes. Use the 28 mm hole for the suspension pipe mounting.
Caution
Securely fix to a pipe or fittings. Incorrect installation may cause the joint part to break, resulting in the fall of the Back Can.
Caution
Keep this length less than 53 mm
