SPEAKER SYSTEMS
F-505W, F-505G
F-605W, F-605G
2. FEATURES
• 2-way bass-reflex speaker systems consisting of a
durable high power woofer and a constant directivity
(CD) horn tweeter with a high-efficiency driver.
• Highly accurate sound reproduction. Suited for a variety
of appli c a t i o n s requirin g po rt a b il i t y and si m p l e
installation.
WARNING
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if
mishandled, could result in death or serious personal
injury.
CAUTION
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if
mis h andled, could resu l t in moder a te or mino r
personal injury, and/or property damage.
• Since the unit is designed for in-door use, do not install
it outdoors. If installed outdoors, the aging of parts
causes the unit to fall off, resulting in personal injury.
Also, when it gets wet with rain, there is a danger of
electric shock.
• Use the specified mounting bracket in combination.
Doing otherwise may cause the unit or component to
fall off, resulting in personal injury.
• Do not use anti-rust lubricant. If it contacts resin or
rubber parts, they could deteriorate and cause the unit
to fall, possibly resulting in personal injury.
• Do not operate the unit for an extended period of time
with the sound distorting. Doing so may cause it to heat
up, resulting in a fire.
1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Before installation or use, be sure to carefully read all
the instructions in this section for correct and safe
operation.
• Be sure to follow all the precautionary instructions in
this section, which contain important warnings and/or
cautions regarding safety.
• Aft er reading , kee p th is manual handy for future
reference.
Thank you for purchasing TOA's Speaker System.
Please carefully follow the instructions in this manual to ensure long, trouble-free use of your equipment.
• A CD horn with a nominal coverage pattern of 60° (h) x
40° (v).
• Low-foam polypropylene resin enclosure with superb
acoustic characteristics and durability.
• Push-in input terminals connected in parallel with phone
jacks, which are easy t o sub s t i t u t e with XLR
connectors.
3. PROTECTION CIRCUITRY
These speaker systems have individual protection circuits
that will protect the woofer and tweeter from over-load.
When the protection circuitry is activated, the input power
to the woofer attenuates by 15 dB and the tweeter is
disconnected.
A s u d d en drop of th e volume l e v el in h i gh or l o w
frequencies during speaker operation indicates that the
over-load protection circuitry has been activated. In such
a case, reduce t he amplifier volume and wait. The
protection circuitry is automatically reset in approximately
2 to 20 seconds. After the situation returns to normal, set
the volume at a level lower than before.
4. INPUT TERMINAL PANEL
Push-in terminals and phone jacks (2 each) are internally
connected in parallel with each other.
When using an XLR connector, remove the jack panel
and fit the XLR connector in the resultant opening.
