GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The TOA 265-ME-AV is a 2-way reference monitor with
numerous applications in small recording studios, A/V
houses, and control rooms of broadcast facilities. Due to the
magnetically "shielded" components used in the 265-ME-AV,
the speaker enclosure may be physically located adjacent to
color televisions and video monitors with no degradation in
video quality. (Magnetic fields emitted by unshielded
systems may cause distortion and break-up of the video im­age, when the speaker is placed in close proximity to a video
monitor.)
The 265-ME-AV is a bass-reflex type enclosure, with a

6.3"(16cm) polypropylene woofer, and a 1.2"(3cm) s oft dome
tweeter with a diffuser for excellent high frequency response.
A tight, symmetrical component arrangement ensures good
image localization for close-in monitoring, as well as smooth
frequency response, low distortion, wide dispersion, and
superb transient response.
The 265-ME-AV will handle a maximum of 75 watts of con­tinuous program material. It features push-type input ter­minals and a removeable front grille. The wooden enclosure
is finished in charcoal gray vinyl sheeting, and T-nuts are pro­vided on the bottom and back plate for mounting brackets.

Installation

1 The units are symmetrical. Position each unit so

that the tweeter is put inward.

2. Using optional mounting bracket this speaker
system can be mounted to the wall or ceiling.
