This product was designed a nd manufactured to meet strict quality and sa fety standards. There are, however, some installation and opera tion
precautions of which you should be particularly aware. Pleas e read these instructions before opera ting the product and save them for future reference.
1. Read Instruction s — All the sa fety and operating instructions should b e read and understood before the product is operated .
2. Retain Instruction s — The safety a nd operating instructions should be retained for future reference.
3. Heed Warnings — All warnings on the p roduct a nd in the operating instructions should be followed.
4. Follow Instruction s — All operating and use instructions should be followed.
5. Avoi d Water and Moisture — T he product should not be used near water - for examp le, near a ba thtub, was hbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet
baseme nt, near a swimming pool, etc.
6. Produc ts – A product and cart combination should be moved with ca re. Quick stops, exc essive force, and uneven surfac es may cause the product
and c art combination to overturn.
7. Tilt/Stability — All televisions must comply with recommended international global sa fety standards for tilt and stability properties of their ca binet
design. Do not compromise these d esign standards by app lying excessive pull force to the front or top of the cabinet; this could ultimately overturn the
product. Also, do not enda nger yourself, or children, by placing electronic equipment/toys on top of the ca binet. Such items could unexpected ly fall from
the top of the set a nd cause p roduct da mage and/or p ersonal injury.
8. Avo id Heat — T he product should be s ituated a way from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other products (including amp lifiers)
that produce hea t.
9. Ventil ation — The app liance should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. For example, the a ppliance
should not be situated on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface that may block the ventilation openings; or, placed in a built-in installation, such as a bookcase
or cabinet that may impede the flow of air through the ventilation openings. Do not block ventilation holes by plac ing items s uch as magazines, clothing,
etc., on top of the unit.
10. Power Cord P rotection — Power supply cords should b e routed s o that they a re not likely to be walked on or pinched by items plac ed upon or against
them, paying p articular attention to cords and plugs, convenience recep tacles, and the point where they exit from the p roduct.
11. Object and Liquid Entry — Never push objects of any k ind into this p roduct through cabinet s lots as they ma y touch da ngerous voltage points or short
the parts, res ulting in the risk of f ire or electric s hock. Never s pill liquid of any kind on this p roduct.
12. Damage Requiring Service — The product should be serviced by q ualified service personnel when:
A. the power supply cord or plug is damaged or frayed;
B. liqu id has spilled into the product;
C. th e product has been exposed to rain or water;
D. th e product does not operate normally when you follow the operating instruction s (adjust only those controls that are discussed in this guide, as improper
adjustment of other controls may result in damage, often requiring extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the product to normal performan ce);
E. t he product has been dropped or the cabinet damaged;
F. th e product exhibits a distinct change in performance.
13. Servicin g — The user s hould not attempt s ervice to the p roduct b eyond that d escribed in the Troubleshooting section of this guide. All other servicing
should be referred to qualified service p ersonnel.
14. Cleaning — Unplug this p roduct from the wa ll outlet before clea ning. Do not use liquid c leaners or aerosol cleaners; use a damp cloth for cleaning. If the
product comes in contact with a ny liquid, unplug the p ower cord or a dapter and let the unit dry thoroughly before plugging it b ack in.
15. Power Su pply — Only use UL approved p ower supp lies or ca bles.
Premiere Serie s: Power cord minimum 18A WG, 125V, 10A and max 4.5m long.
Roamio: Kun antech Co., Ltd. (TiVo) model KSAS0241200200VU power supply.
Roamio Plus/Pro: Power cord with minimum 18AWG, 125V, 10A and max 4.5m long.
TiVo Mini and TiVo Stream: Power supply with rated output 12V, 1A; Marked LPS.
16. Overloaded Power Outlets — do not overload wall outlets and extension cords a s this can result in the risk of fire or electric shock.
17. Co axial C able Groundi ng — For this product, the c oaxial cable shield/screen shall be grounded a s close as p ractical to the point of entry of the cab le
into the building. For products sold in the US and Ca nada, this is p er Article 800-93 and Article 8 00-100 of the NEC (or Ca nadian Electrical Code Part 1),
which provides guidelines for proper grounding of the coaxial c able shield.
18. Electric Shock — To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disa ssemble this product. Ta ke it to a qua lified s ervice person when service or repa ir
work is required. Opening or removing covers ma y expose you to dangerous voltage or other risks. I ncorrect reass embly can ca use electric shock when this
product is s ubsequently used.
19. CAU TION — Danger of explosion if the b attery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent typ e recommended by the
manufacturer. Dispose of used batteries according to the ma nufacturer's instructions.
This equipm ent has been tested and found to comp ly with the limits for a Class B d igital d evice, p ursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are
designed to p rovide rea sonable protection against ha rmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can ra diate radio
frequency energy a nd, if not installed a nd used in ac cordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However,
there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this eq uipment d oes ca use harmful interference to radio or television
reception, which can b e determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference b y one of the following
measures:
