RF Exposure Compliance and Control Guidelines and Operating Instructions
To control your e xposure and ensure c ompliance with the
occ upational/controlled environmental exposure limits, always adhere to the
following proc edures.
Guidelines:
· Do not remove the RF Exposure Label from the device.
· Use r a wareness instructions should ac company device when tra nsferre d
to other users.
· Do not use this de vice if the operational r equire ments described herein
are not met.
Operating Instructions:
· Transmit no more than the rated duty factor of 50% of the time. To
transmit (talk), push the Push-To-Talk (PTT) button. To receive ca lls,
release the PTT button. Transmitting 50% of the time, or less, is
important bec ause the ra dio gene rates mea surable RF energy only whe n
transmitting (in terms of mea suring for standa rds c ompliance).
· Ke ep the radio unit at least 2.5 c m away from the face. Keeping the
radio at the proper distance is important as RF exposure decreases with
distance from the a ntenna. The antenna should be ke pt away from the
face and eye s.
· When worn on the body, a lways place the ra dio in a Hytera-approved
holder, holster, c ase, or body harness or by use of the cor rect clip f or
this product. Use of non-a pproved ac ce ssories may re sult in e xposure
levels which exceed the FCC's oc cupa tional/controlled environmental RF
exposure limits.
· Use of non-a pprove d antennas, ba tteries, and a cc essories ca uses the
radio to exceed the FCC RF exposure guidelines.
· Contact your loca l dea ler for the produc t's optional accessories.
