Note: Install antenna and turn on monitor before installing sensors, for capturing
and displaying the newly pressurized sensor readings during installation
1. Monitor
• Driver side on dash is a better signal monitoring location than the center of the dashboard
• Turn on/off monitor with the battery switch in the back side
• After switched on, the monitor will clear all prior readings and show “- -“ for each tire
• Turning on monitor after sensor installation may need up to two hours for sensor readings to
appear; the sensors send few signals when vehicle is not moving for saving battery power.

3. Sensor Installation
First turn on the monitor and bring with you to the tire, and then simply screw each sensor
on a valve stem in the order as indicated by one of the sensor ID vs. tire location mapping
showed above. Upon power-up the monitor will show “- -“ for all tires – wait a few
minutes after installing the sensors for tire readings to appear on the screen.
• Install external sensor on metal valve stem (at least for the flow-through sensors)
• External sensors can be installed on a valve extender if desired
• Fasten one or more set screws that can be reached with the provided Allen wrench
• Verify no air leak with soapy water; tighten/reinstall leaky sensor, or replace damaged O-ring
Optional
The black plastic collar is for protecting the
metal sensor stems against corrosion - simply
cut collar to proper length, slip onto the valve
stem, install sensor, put a light coat of
petroleum gel on sensor stem, and then move
the collar up to cover the sensor stem.
4. Set Up Low / High Tire Pressure Warning Thresholds
After installing the sensor the abnormal tire pressure warning thresholds should be set up in
accordance to the normal cold tire pressure of the vehicle. The Monitor-H has a Set Alarm
(“SA”) mode to make setting up of warning thresholds much simpler.
To enter the Set Alarm mode from Monitor-H, press the top
button for three seconds, then the monitor will show a screen
with “SA” on it.
When in “SA” mode, press the top button will trigger the monitor to set up the warning
thresholds for all axles according to the current tire pressure, as follows:
• The low pressure warning threshold for an axle will be set to 12% below the average of all
tires on that axle, e.g., a steering axle with pressure of 80 PSI and 84 PSI for the two tires
(i.e., average 82 PSI) will be set to having a LP warning threshold of 72 PSI
• The high pressure warning threshold for the vehicle will be set to 30% above the highest
average pressure of all axles, e.g., a 3-axle motorhome with average axle tire pressure of
80, 90, and 100 PSI, respectively, will be set to having a HP warning threshold of 130 PSI
After pressing “SA” the monitor will set up the warning thresholds for all axles (provide that the
tires have normal pressure) and then exit to normal operation automatically
Note:
The user can always adjust the warning levels by entering the manual warning
thresholds set up mode: pressing both buttons together for 3 seconds.
