The TRT05 is a plug in thermostat, with an in built
24 hour programmable timer. It has 3 programmable
time periods, and 4 operating modes, including ON,
OFF, Timed, and Automatic. Set temperature can be
between 0 and 35°C.

From first power up, the screen will show --:--
Note: in this mode, the ‘Temp’, ‘Mode’ and ‘Prog’
buttons do not perform any function.

Press ‘Time’ and hold for 3 seconds.
Whilst holding, the word hold shows.
The hour symbol will blink.
Use ‘Temp’ or ‘Mode’ to set the hour. ‘Temp’
increases the numeric value and ‘Mode’ decreases
the numeric value. The hour is a 24hr clock.
Use ‘Time’ to move the blinking to the minutes.
Use ‘Temp’ or ‘Mode’ to set the minutes.
Press ‘Time’ to exit the Time / date entry, and return
to the operating mode.
The display will now read:

Showing correct time, and output status OFF.
Notes about Time entry:
There is no ‘time out’ if a button is not pushed for
any reason during programming the time.
During programming, when the ‘Temp’ or ‘Mode’
buttons are held down, the adjusted setting will
scroll more rapidly.
Holding down the ‘Time’ button for 3 seconds will
exit the programming time mode. This can be done
at any time during programming.
3. Programming the
ON/OFF times:
Press ‘Prog’ and hold for 5 seconds.

Display will show prog 1 on, and the hour cursor
will be blinking.
Use ‘Temp’ or ‘Mode’ to set the time, using ‘Prog’
to change between hours and minutes.
Press ‘Prog’ to change to program 1 OFF time.
Use ‘Temp’, ‘Mode’ and ‘Prog’ to set the OFF time.
Press ‘Prog’ to scroll through program 2 ON,
program 2 OFF, program 3 ON, program 3 OFF,
adding in times as required.
Press ‘Prog’ to exit program mode.
At any time during programming, if the ‘Prog’
button is held down for 3 seconds, the TRT05 will
return to operating mode.

Where the time is correct, and the ON/OFF indicator
reflects the current program. The default mode
when leaving programming is Auto, depicted by
an ‘A’ on the display.
Programming across midnight:
To programme across midnight, enter the start time
of the last period (say 20:00), and then leave the
end time blank (--:--).
Start the next days ON period at 00:00 and then
enter the OFF time that is required.
Setting temperature:
Press and hold the ‘Temp’ button for 3 seconds.
Use ‘Temp’ and ‘Mode’ to adjust the set

temperature required in 1 degree steps.
Press and hold ‘Temp’ button to exit temperature
adjustment.
Notes on temperature entry:
The default temperature is 20°C.
Temperature set range is 0 to 35°C
4. Operating Mode:
The TRT05 has four operating modes. Pressing the
‘Mode’ button scrolls between modes.
Modes are:
AAuto mode: the output will be controlled
by the set temperature only.
ON The output will be ON, irrespective of
the set temperature.
OFF The output will be OFF, irrespective of
the set temperature.
Timed The output will be controlled by the
set temperature, between the
programmed ON and OFF times.
There is only one set temperature.
Temperature cannot be set differently

for individual timed periods.
During each mode, the display will show:
In operating mode, if ‘Temp’ is pressed briefly,
the display changes to show the actual room
temperature (not the set temperature).

If ‘Temp’ is pressed briefly again, then the display
reverts to showing the time.
In both auto, and timed mode, the ON OFF will
reflect the output of the TRT05.
5. Reset
There is a reset button on the back of
the TRT05, which is only accessible when the
unit is unplugged. This can be used to restore
the factory default settings, and blank
any programming.

faulty due to defective material or manufacture,
within 3 years purchase, please return it to your
