4. Installation
4.1 Ensure the mains supply is switched off and the circuit supply fuses are
removed or the circuit breaker turned off.
4.2 An isolating switch should be installed to the switch the power ON and OFF
to the luminaire. This allows the unit to be easily switched OFF for maintenance purposes.
4.3 Remove the mounting bracket by undoing the 2 Allen bolts and washers
located on the left and right side of the luminaire. You will need a 6mm Allen key (not supplied). Take note of the order of the washers as you remove the bracket.
4.4 Mark the position of the mounting holes on the wall using the mounting
bracket as a template.
4.5 Drill the holes for the rawl plugs ensuring not to infringe with any gas/water
pipes or electrical cables that may be hidden below the surface. Insert the rawl plugs.
4.6 Fix the mounting bracket to the wall using the correct screws for the
rawl plugs installed.
4.7 Remove the panel and rubber gasket located on the back of the luminaire
by undoing the 4 fixing screws.

4.8 Attach the supplied cable glands to the luminaire. If an outgoing mains
supply cable is not required, use a cable blank on one of the provided holes.
4.9 Pass the 230V 50Hz mains supply cable through the cable gland making
sure to tighten it, and prepare the cable for termination.
4.10 Terminate the mains supply cable into the terminal block (please refer
to section 5. Connection Diagram) ensuring correct polarity is observed and that all bare conductors are sleeved.
4.11 Re-fit the panel to the back of the luminaire ensuring the rubber gasket
is in place. Secure into place using the 4 fixing screws previously removed.
4.12 Re-attach the luminaire to the mounting bracket using the 2 Allen bolts
and washers previously removed, just enough to secure into place but do not overtighten.
4.13 Adjust the angle of the luminaire so it lights the required area, and then
tighten the Allen bolts holding the luminaire to the mounting bracket.
