These instructions should be read carefully and retained for further
reference and maintenance.
This Keypad is compatible with the Timeguard PSUDALI DALI Power
Supply, and can be used with Timeguard IR DALI Presence detector
models PDSMDALI, PDSMCDALI, PDFMDALI and PDFMCDALI.
Note: The addition of a suitable DALI Interface
and associated computer software is required
to programme the 3 pre-set scene settings.
2. Safety
• Before installation or maintenance, ensure the mains
supply to the product is switched off and the circuit supply
fuses are removed or the circuit breaker turned off.
• It is recommended that a qualified electrician is consulted

or used for the installation of this product and installed in
accordance with the current IEE wiring and Building Regulations.
• Check that the total load on the circuit including when this
product is fitted does not exceed the rating of the circuit cable,
fuse or circuit breaker.

4. Installation
4.1 The power supply is via the DALI control line only,
no mains voltage allowed.
4.2 The wiring can be solid wire or stranded wire with
a cross-section of 0.14 to 1.5 mm².
4.3 Carefully remove the mounting bracket from the back
of the keypad.
4.4 Pass the incoming cable through the centre hole
of the mounting bracket.
4.5 Attach the mounting bracket to the back box using
the fixing screws provided.
4.6 Plug the incoming cable to the DA terminals on the keypad.
4.7 Position the keypad on top of the mounting bracket and
back box, pressing it into place, forming the cable during
installation to avoid any entrapment and cable damage.

5. Adjustments
Make sure all drivers connected to the DALI line are addressed,
grouped and scene values are saved as preferred, the addition
of a suitable DALI Interface and associated computer software
is required to programme the default scene settings. And then
programme the DALI Switch Panel according to your needs.
The lighting group setting can be done via the group rotary
switch on the back of the switch panel. The assignment of start
scene setting can be done via the 16 configurations of the four
jumpers (J1~J4) against the 3 buttons 1~3. According to DALI
standard protocol there are 16 groups (0~15) for option.
For this DALI switch panel the start scene assignment of the three
buttons will be in a continuous sequence as shown in the table.
The default start scene setting is in the sequence of 0, 1, 2.

6. Operation and Function
This DALI switch panel is for controlling multiple DALI luminaire
groups via the integrated group switch, and for assigning the
pre-set lighting scenes (button 1~3) via the flexible jumper
configurations (J1~J4). The dimming buttons allow brightness
adjustment in the range of 1% ~ 100%. The brightness level
is not memorized after power OFF.
• Lighting Group Setting – Set the lighting group via the
group rotary switch which has 16 steps 0~F. Steps 0~E are
for group 0~14; step F is for Broadcast, and is the default
setting from factory.
• Lighting Scene Assignment – Please refer to the Start Scene
Setting Table for the 16 configurations of the four jumpers
(J1~J4) against the scene assignment of button 1~3. According
to DALI standard protocol there are 16 groups (0~15) for
option. For this DALI switch panel the start scene assignment
of the three buttons will be in a continuous sequence as shown
in the table (section 5. Adjustments). The default start scene

setting is in the sequence of 0, 1, 2.
• Dimming Function – Long press the DIM UP / DIM DOWN
buttons to adjust the brightness in the range of 1% ~ 100%.
The brightness level is not memorized after power OFF.
• LED Indicator Function – The blue colour LED indicator will
flash once to each press of any buttons on the switch panel.
The indicator will flash twice when reset button is pressed.
• Reset Button Function – When any malfunction occurs, press
the reset button to restore the default setting; the blue LED
indicator will flash twice when reset button is pressed.

3 Year Guarantee
In the unlikely event of this product becoming faulty due to
defective material or manufacture within 3 years of the date
of purchase, please return it to your supplier in the first year
with proof of purchase and it will be replaced free of charge.
For the second and third years or any difficulty in the first year

Note: A proof of purchase is required in all cases. For all eligible
replacements (where agreed by Timeguard) the customer is
responsible for all shipping/postage charges outside of the UK.
All shipping costs are to be paid in advance before a replacement
