INSTALLATION NOTE
1. DESCRIPTION
1.1 The TII SCT-A Active Sealing Current
Terminator is a microprocessor controlled
circuit that provides DC sealing current
terminations to non telephone service DSL
subscriber lines.
1.2 It maintains network connection integrity by
allowing current to flow through “DSL Only”
service.
2. WARRANTY
2.1 See TII Warranty. If this unit fails during the
warranty period, the factory should be
requested to authorize return. Return the unit
prepaid when authorization is received. Units
that fail due to abuse or normal wear should
be discarded.
Note: To be employed on the Equipment Side of a
Listed Primary Protector.
3. INSTALLATION
3.1 Identify the location where the existing DSL
Modem is installed.
3.2 Disconnect the existing telephone cable from
the wall jack to DSL modem (See Figure 1).

3.3 Insert the RJ-11 plug of the TII SCT-A (Line)
into the RJ-11 jack of the wall outlet (Figure
2).
3.4 Reconnect the telephone cable from the DSL
modem (Input) to the RJ-11 on the TII SCT-A
(Modem).
3.5 Perform necessary tests to confirm that the
computer communicates with the DSL
modem.
3.6 Use adhesive pad (supplied) to attach the TII
SCT-A to the wall.
