INSTALLATION NOTE

1. GENERAL

The TII 61 / TII 62 Series Sealed Wire

Termination Blocks are used where multiple
customer telephone wire terminations are to be
provided. The TII 61 / TII 62 Series provide
connections in the following configurations:

Installation is accomplished using standard

technician tools. The Insulation Displacement
Contacts (IDC) are achieved using gel sealed
rockers.

IDC Terminations accept 26-22 AWG solid

wire.

2. INSTALLATION

Remove the TII 61 / TII 62 Sealed Wiring

Termination Block and inspect it for damage.
If damaged, obtain another unit.

Align the wire termination block with the

mounting holes on the designated PC board.
Use suitable hardware to attach the block to
the PC board.

Plug in RJ-11 plugs into the corresponding

RJ-11 jacks.

Lift the rocker of the input terminal to the full

up position. DO NOT strip wires. Hold the
customer telephone wire pair to be terminated
between thumb and index finger. Insert wires
into wire guides simultaneously until they
bottom-out. While holding wires in position,
terminate rocker by lowering to the full DOWN
position.

Terminate any additional input or out pairs as

required following the above steps.

To keep wire pairs organized, route them

through the molded wire looms as shown in
Figure 1.
