INSTALLATION NOTE

cable(s) may be terminated to the wire
terminal studs

• Observe approved wiring practices at all
times.

• Feed the telco side cable(s) and the
customer side cable(s) through the one
entry grommet located at the bottom of
the enclosure.

• To terminate, attach the telco cable wire

1. GENERAL

• The TII 163 Series Wire Terminal
Enclosures are used to connect drop
wire and bridal wire for aerial wire drops.
The enclosure is manufactured of
rugged heavy duty weather resistant
plastic.

2. INSTALLATION

• Locate the elongated mounting holes at
the bottom of the enclosure and remove
the flashing across the mounting holes.

• Use approved hardware to mount the
enclosure to the surface/pole.

• Once the TII 163 has been mounted, the
Telco side cable(s) and customer side

under the bottom washer and nut of the
terminal stud (Tip/Ring), securely tighten
nut.

• After tightening the bottom nut, place
customer cable wire under the top
washer and nut of the terminal stud
(Tip/Ring) and securely tighten nut
(Figure 1).

• When more than one cable is placed
under a nut, use washers between the
wires (Figure 1).

• Use caution when terminating small
gauge wire on the terminal studs, as the
wires may catch in the threads of the
terminal and be cut or broken when nuts
are tightened.

• Check all nuts to make sure they are
tight.

• Perform approved testing on completed
installation.
