information. Retain in the event that warranty service is required.

NOTE: The rating of this pr oduct ( as marked on the product identification plate) is based on specific load ing
tests. Normal use or the use of oth er r ecommended attachments may dr aw significantly less power.

• Carefully read all instruct ions before operating your new product for the first time and keep for future
reference.

• Remove and safely discard any packaging material and promotional labels before using the product for
the first time.

• Do not operate any appliance w it h a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is
dropped or damaged in any mann er . Ret ur n appliance to the nearest authori zed service facility for
examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjust me nt .

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized servic e agent or a
qualified technician in order t o avoid a hazard.

• Unplug from power outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, filling, and before
cleaning.

• When the appliance is hot, gr asp it only by the handle.

• Children should be supervised t o ensure that they do not play with the app liance.

• Care should be taken when using the appliance due to the emission o f steam.

• Never hold your hand over t he steam spray or on hot metal parts.

• You should not open the water reservoir while the iron is in use. Allow the device to cool down

completely before filling.

• NEVER iron c lo thing while still wearing it!

• NEVER direct jets of stea m at people or animals.

• Under NO circumstances should you use the appliance if it shows visible signs of damage, has fallen or

leaks water. Arrange for it to be repaired by qualified specialists.

• Do NOT leave the appliance unattended when it is connected to a power outlet.

• Only store the appliance when it has cooled down completely.

• Place the appliance on level an d heat r esistant surface only with the stand fo lded out.

• Use only the ironing temperatures given in the care instructions for the material, or those suitable for it.

Otherwise, you could damage the material. Should care instructions not be given or known, start with the
lowest temperature settin g.

• To disconnect from the pow er s ocket, pull only on the plug itself, not on the cord.

• Never bend (kink) or crush the power cable. Arrange it in such a way that it cannot come into contact

with hot surfaces and so no-one can step on or trip over it.

• After every use, before cleaning the appliance, and when refilling with water, remove the plug from the
power outlet.

• Always fully unravel the power cord before switching on and do not use an extensio n c ord.

• Never touch the power cord or the power plu g w ith wet hands.

• Under no circumstances can the appliance be immersed in liquid. Do not expose the appliance to
humidity and do not use it outdoors. Should liquids enter the housing, unplug the appliance from the
power outlet immediate ly and ar r ange for it to be repaired by a quali fied t ec hnician.

• NEVER use the appliance adjacent to water contained in a bath, shower, wash basin or other vessels.
The proximity of moisture present s a danger, even when the applian ce is switched off.

• This appliance contains no user serviceable parts. Do not open the housing under any circumstances.

• Should the care instructions on the clothing forbid ironing, you may not use the Garment Steamer on it.

Should you do so, the clothing may be permanently damaged.

• The water tank is to be filled only with mains water ( or a m ix o f distilled and mains water).

• You may not clean the appliance with solvents, alcohol or abrasive cleaning agents.

• The use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may cause injuries to persons.

• This appliance is not intended f or used by persons (including children) w it h reduced physical, sensory or

mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, un less they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.

• Do not operate the appliance other t han for its intended use. This applianc e is for household use only.

• Do not use outdoors.

• The installation of a residu al cur r ent device (safety switch) is reco mm ended to provide additional sa fety

protection when using ele ctrical appliances. It is advisab le that a safety switch with a rated resi dual
operating current not exceeding 30mA be installed in the electrical circuit supplying the appliance. See
your electrician for professional advice.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Remove all packaging materials, including any labels etc.

1. Insert the power plug into a power outlet.

2. Hold the steam brush horizontally.

3. Heat the Garment Steamer at the highest setting for a few minutes. By doing this you will clear any
production residue from the sole of the appliance.

4. Iron an old piece of material. This will remove any impurities that may be on the sole of the iron

Note:

The first use of the appliance may produce a small amount of smoke and smell. This is caused by production
residues. This is complete ly nor ma l and is not dangerous. Ensure the roo m is well ventilated, by opening a
window.

INSTRUCTIONS

If the care instructions on the clothing forbid ironing, then you may not use the Garment Steamer. If you do, the
clothing may be permanently damaged.

DO NOT use the appliance on leather, velvet, furniture or steam sensitive materials. If you do, the
material/furniture may become damaged.

Filling with water:

• NEVER fill the water tank with chemicals, cleaning agents or any liquids other than mains water (or a mix
of mains and distilled water) .

• Do not use chemically dist il led water. This will damage the appliance.

• Should the mains water at your location be rated as hard, it is recommended that you mix mains water

with some distilled water. O t her wise, the jets for the steam blast fu nc t io n c ould calcify (become blocked).

• To extend the optimal steam blast function, mix mains water with distilled water according to the table
below.

• The water hardness level can be queried with your local water supplier.

Before refilling with water, ALWAYS remove the plug from the power outlet! Otherwise there is a risk of electric
shock!

1. Remove the water cover cap.

2. Fill the measuring cup, and pour it into the water tank until the water rea ches the MAX fill line.

3. Replace the cap, and ens ure it is completely in place.

Attaching/removing th e accessories
NEVER attempt to attach or remove the accessories when the appliance is hot, and in use.
Steam iron function:

You can use the Garment Steamer as a traditional steam iron without any accessori es attached.
Adjust the temperature ac cor di ng to the fabric type – refer to the care label on the garment – and iron.

Attach the grooming brush to the soleplate. You can remove the dust on clothes, sofas, curtains, blankets or
other home textiles with this at t achment.

How to attach: Lock the head of the grooming brush to the head of soleplate, and then push the back of the
grooming brush so it locks to the soleplate. When the switch is locked it is attached properly.

How to remove: The unit must be completely cool before remov ing a ny accessories. Hold the handle with one
hand, and use your other hand to hold the grooming brush. Slide the switch down, then lift the back of the
grooming brush and remo ve.

Lint brush attachment:

Attach the Lint brush to the soleplate. This attachment removes fluff on the clothes, sofas, curtains, blankets or
other home textiles.

How to attach: Lock the head of the lint brush to the head of soleplate, and then push the back of the lint brush
so it locks to the soleplate. When the switch is locked it is attached properly.

How to remove: Firstly, hold the handle with your one hand, an d use your other hand to hold the Lint bru sh,
secondly slide the switch down, and then raise the back of the Lint brush. When the head of the Lint brush
depart from the soleplate is done.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Attach the appropriate accessor y for the garment you wish to iron/steam.

2. Fill the appliance with water .

3. Set the required temperature (r efer t o c ar e label on garment).

4. Plug in to a power outlet and ensure t hat t he power ‘On’ indicator light is illuminated.

5. Wait approximately one minute for the appliance to heat up. Press the steam release button. This button
can be pressed continuou sly, if required.

6. Before applying steam to a garment, first test the appliance on an old p iece of similar material.

7. Move the steam brush and iron combination over the whole garment while pressing the steam-release
button. The iron may be moved both horizontally and vertically. For best results just touch the garment
lightly with the iron.

8. If the appliance runs out of water before you have finished ironing, allow it to cool completely before
refilling. Never use this appliance without water !

9. While using the appliance, you will notice that the power ‘On’ indicator light switches on and off. This is
normal and occurs when the app li ance is adjusting the temperature.

10. Unplug the Garment Steamer and iron combination when you have finished using it. WARNING: Always
pull out the plug from the power out. Never pull on the power cable to switch off the appliance. Make
sure that the power ‘On’ indicator light is ‘Off’.

For best ironing results:

• Some garments should be ironed inside out.

• Trousers can be ironed more easily when held from the botto m.

• When ironing, touch the fabric lightly with the iron and move it in different directions to remove wrinkles.

It is important that the iron touches the garment.

• The iron will not remove stains from a garment.

• The Garment steamer can be used with almost any kind of fabric, including: silk, cotton, polyester and

wool. Please read the garment’s care label to check that it can be steam ironed. Certain materials such
as leather, suede and velvet cannot be s t eam ironed.

• To ensure the garment can be steam ironed, test the iron on a small part of the interior of the garment. If
no damage occurs, the entire garment can be ironed.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

1. When you ha ve finished using the Garment Steame r, ensure that it is complet ely cool and unplugged
from the power outlet before commencing any cleaning.

2. Allow the water in the applianc e to cool for 15 minutes. Then care fu lly r em ove the water reservoir cap.

3. Turn the appliance upside dow n t o em pt y out all of the water.

4. Clean the appliance and accessories only when they have completely cooled. The cleaning brush is
ideal for removing any fluff fro m the accessories.

5. Store the appliance in a cool dry place.

6. Use only clean water to fill this appliance. Using filtered, mineral or distilled water will prolong the
appliance’s life. Tap water can also be used

7. Never put detergent, chemicals, salt, perfume, dye or any other liquid except water into the water
reservoir. Many of these substances are highly flammable and may cause bodily harm, while certain
additives can corrode and clog the appliance’s components. Never should you add essences to perfume
water.

Removing miner a l deposits:

A common problem with steam irons is the accumulation of mineral deposits in the tubes, normally w hen tap
water is used to fill the iron. To reduce or remove these mineral dep osits, use filtered, mineral or distille d water.
The following steps, if ta ken at least once a month, can help reduce m ineral deposits. Mineral or distilled water
cannot be used.

1. Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the power outlet and completely cool.

2. Make a solution that is 50% vinegar and 50% water.

3. Remove the water-reservoir cap and slowly pour in the solution.

4. Allow the Garment Steamer to work for 40 minutes - adding more solution when the water reservoir
becomes empty.

5. Pour any remaining solution into the sink or other container.

6. Fill the water reservoir with w at er and then empty it again. Repeat until the v inegar smell has gone.
