Safety Precautions

Please read all of the instructions and familiarize yourself with the product and its controls before operation.

1. This product is not a toy. It is a high performance model car therefore it is important to familiarize yourself with the model, its manual, and its construction before assembly or operation. Adult supervision is necessary for children operating this model.

2. Always keep this instruction manual on hand during assembly and for operating reference.

3. Do not use a power screwdriver to install screws into plastic parts. A power screwdriver’s high rotation speed can heat up the screw being installed which can result in some melting of the plastic parts or stripped threads.

4. For best performance, it is important to make sure all the moving parts can move freely without binding.

5. This product, its parts, and its assembly tools can be harmful to your health. Always exercise extreme caution when assembling and operating this product. Keep away from any high speed rotating parts during operation.

6. The Power System is NOT WATERPROOF. Do not expose system to any type of water, condensation, or moisture.

7. Use Stock Connectors：Removing the battery connector on the speed control will void the product’s warranty.

LiPo BATTERIES 鋰電池充電注意事項

Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries are becoming popular for use in R/C models due to their compact size, high energy density, and high-current output. However, these types of batteries require special care and handling procedures for long life and safe operation.

Warning ! Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries are intended only for advanced users that are educated on the risks associated with LiPo battery use. THUNDER TIGER does not recommend that anyone under the age of 16 use or handle LiPo battery packs without the supervision of a knowledgeable and responsible adult.

Important ! Do not use NiCd / NiMH battery chargers for LiPO batteries. If you do not use a special charger for LiPO batteries, they will be damaged.

The electronic speed control is able to use LiPo batteries with nominal voltage not to exceed 11.1 volts (2S packs x1 recommended). Exceeding these voltages may result in damage to your brushless system. LiPo batteries have a minimum safe discharge voltage threshold that should either not be exceeded. The electronic speed control is equipped with built-in Low-voltage detection that cuts the power automatically when batteries have reached their minimum voltage (discharge) threshold. Refer to the low power auto-cut table in the ESC instruction manual. It is the driver’s responsibility to stop immediately to prevent the battery pack from being discharged below its safe minimum threshold. It is critical for you, the user, to follow all other instructions supplied by the battery manufacturer and the charger manufacturer for proper charging, use, and storage of LiPo batteries. Make sure you understand how to use your LiPo batteries. Be aware that THUNDER TIGER shall not be liable for any special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the installation and / or use of LiPo batteries in THUNDER TIGER models.

此無刷馬達速控器在設計上是可以允許使用鋰電池，但須注意請勿使用超過11.1 volts (建議使用2S packs x1)的鋰電池，否則你的無刷馬達速控器及無刷馬達很可能因過高的電壓而燒毀。使用鋰電本身應該也需具有過度放電之保護，以避免電電池本身的壽命及效能產生不可回復性的傷害。此無刷馬達速控器本身內建有低電壓偵測裝置，電池電壓低於一定電壓時速控器會進行自動斷電程序以保護電池之壽命。請參考速控器說明書上低電壓斷電。發生上述斷電情況請操作者即刻暫停操作以防電池之損壞。操控者在使用鋰電池時應先詳讀電池及充電器廠商所提供之使用操作說明書以瞭解正確的鋰電池充放電方法，儲存及使用方式。請注意！THUNDER TIGER 對於消費者因為使用或安裝鋰電池於所屬之遙控模型上，而造成任何的直接或間接的損害，無須擔負任何法律責任。

WHEEL AND TIRE PREPARATION

輪胎及輪轂

a. Remove wheel lock nut using the 4-way wrench and detach wheels. b.

Replace fresh tires and wheels if the original tires are worn out.

c. Tighten the wheel lock nut.

Make Sure The Axle Nuts Are Tight Before Each Run

Before operating your Jackal, take a moment to make sure the axle nuts are tight, as they may have loosened during shipping. The correct size axle-nut wrench is supplied with the truck. Check the tightness of the axle nuts before each run. The Jackal’s high speed and torque can loosen the nuts over time if left unchecked.

使用內附之六角螺帽套筒板手將輪轂上六角固定螺帽取下。

a. b. 將已磨損嚴重之輪胎組取下後，換上新的輪胎組。 c. 將六角固定螺帽重新鎖緊。

輪胎鎖附步驟加註注意事項

在操作之前請先確認輪胎之固定六角螺帽是被鎖緊的。如未鎖緊，可使用隨車所附的螺帽套筒扳手將螺帽鎖緊。每趟跑完或是再次出發前請務必檢查固定螺帽是否鬆脫？此車之高轉速與高扭力很可能於每一次的操作時使螺帽漸漸地鬆脫。

(***Please always disconnect battery cable from ESC after use, and take out battery from battery box***)

Disconnect Batteries After Use

Always disconnect the batteries from the speed control when you are finished using your vehicle. The switch on the speed control only shuts off power to the receiver and servos. The speed control continues to draw power as long as it is plugged in and may overdischarge your batteries if they are left connected to the speed control.

操作完畢注意事項

請務必於每次操作完畢後解除電子速控器與電池的連結狀態。電子速控器電源開關僅只關掉接收機與伺服機的電源供應。電池內部電流消耗會因為電源線未拔離而持續且可能會因此而過度放電而導致無法預期的危險。

TRANSMITTER CONTROLS

1. Transmitter Antenna: Straighten up the antenna before operating the model.

2. Battery Level Indicator: Green / Red LEDs indicate the battery voltage. If the Red LED flashes, please replace the batteries.

3. Power Switch: Slide to turn the transmitter on or off.

4. Servo reversing switches: To reverse the servo's rotation direction at the flip of the switch. The reversing switches are

recessed into the transmitter to prevent accidental operation.

5. Steering Trim: Adjusts the steering in small increments or decrements to run the model straight.

6. Throttle Trim: Adjusts the throttle in small increments or decrements to shift the neutral position.

7. Steering D/R (Dual Rates): Turn this knob left or right to adjust the amount of the steering dual rate. Right to increase dual rate

amount and left to decrease the amount.

8. Throttle Trigger: Pull or push to control the movement of the model.

9. External Charging Jack: For rechargeable NiCd/NiHM battery pack on the transmitter only.

10. 2.4GHz Binding / LED: The Binding button is located on the top of the 2.4GHz transmitter. For additional details, please refer to

the “Binding” setting procedure (Page 6). LED indicate the RF status. The Red LED means RF funtion is not work.

11. Steering Wheel: Control the steering of the model.

12. Battery Cover: Slide cover to install or remove batteries.

發射機各部功能簡介

2. 發射機電源顯示燈：二顆LED設計顯示發射機電池殘量，若紅色LED燈閃爍時，請更換發射機電池。

BINDING PROCESS

Our products are well matched in the factory, you do not need to match by yourself. But if your are going to match the receiver with other transmitter, or you need to change a new receiver or transmitter, please follow the following steps;

a. Install the battery to 2.4G transmitter and shut it down. b. Insert the matching lines to the channel BIND/CH3 port of the receiver. (Figure.1)。

c. Connect the receiver battery to VCC port of the receiver, on the same time the two LED are flashing shing

and this means the receiver are going to the matching status.

d. Press and hold the button on the transmitter, and then switch on the power supply.

e. Observe the LED on the receiver, if find that the LED is not flash anymore and that means successful

Matched. (This process about 5s)

f. Release the match button on the transmitter, take out the match line.

g. Install the server and then test.

h. If the tests fail, please repeat the action above.

i. If the tests success, then insert the power supply port into VCC, match complete.

我們的產品在出廠前已經過配對，您無需做配對動作便可使用。但如果您要將接收機跟另外的發射機進行配對使用，或者您要更換新的接收機或者發射機，請您按如下的步聚進行：注：我們的接收發射系統，不跟其它品牌相容！

安全校頻配對(鎖碼)

a. 將2.4G發射機裝好電池，並關閉發射機。

b. 將配對線插入接收機的BIND/CH3通道介面（如圖1）。

c. 將接收機電池插入接收機的VCC通道介面，此時可看到接收機的LED在閃爍，此表示接收機進入配對狀態。

d. 將發射機上的配對鍵(BIND)按住，然後打開發射機電源開關。（注：不要鬆開按鍵）。

e. 觀察接收機上的LED，如果發現LED不再閃爍表示配對成功。（注：此過程大約時間為5S左右）。

f. 鬆開發射機上的配對按鍵，拔掉接收機上的配對線。

g. 將伺服器裝上並通電測試。

h. 如果測試NG，則重複以上動作。

i. 如果測試OK，則將電源接頭插入VCC，配對完成。

FAIL SAFE FUNCTION

FAIL SAFE FUNCTION

1. Function Failsafe aims to prevent out-of-control driving of RC Car or RC Boat. If the Receiver is not able to receive Any signal, from the control to Throttle, the parameter of Throttle on Receiver will turn back to its original Setting.

2. Setting a. Turn on the Transmitter switch; b. Turn on the Receiver switch, the LED will be lighting; c. Adjust Transmitter's Throttle, make the car/boat to stop or flameout, then keep still. d. Press the “setting” button on Receiver (as the pic below), the LEDwill be flashing, then stop after 3seconds around, which means setting finished. e. OK!

3. Testing f. Turn on the Transmitter switch; g. Turn on the Receiver switch; h. Turn off the Transmitter switch; i. Servo of Throttle will turn back to its original setting automatically; j. Setting is successful if above procedures finished completely.

失控保護功能說明

1. 功能說明失控保護功能是對模型車或船進行失控保護，避免因失控造成損失。主要是對油門通道進行控制，當接收機接收不到控制信號時，接收機的油門通道將自運行到當初設定的值，以免誤動作。

2. 設定方法 a. 將發射機開通電源進入工作狀態. b. 將接收機接通電源進入工作狀態，此時信號燈恒亮. c. 控制發射機的油門通道，使油門控制伺服器或調速器進入剎車或熄火狀態，然後保持不動. d. 此時將接收機的設定鍵（如圖按下），此時接收機LED信號燈會閃爍，並在3秒左右停止. e. 設定完成.

3. 測試 f. 將發射機打開進入工作狀態. g. 將接收機接通電源進入工作狀態. h. 將發射機關閉電源. i. 此時可看到油門通道的伺服器便會自動進入設定狀態的位置 j. 以上動作如果可以完成表示設定OK

ADJUSTING SLIPPER CLUTCH SYSTEM

The Jackal is equipped with an adjustable slipper clutch which is built into the large spur gear. The purpose of the slipper clutch is to regulate the amount of power send to the wheels to prevent tire spin. When it slips, the slipper clutch makes a high-pitch, whining noise.

a. You can use 1.5mm hex. wrench to loose screw of gear cover. b. Use the other 1.5mm hex. wrench to fix gear shaft. c.

tight the nut then loose 1/4 turn. ***Don't tight lock the nut, otherwise slipper clutch will not function and cause transmission easily be broken.***

Jackal 於大主齒外側配備可調式限滑器，而限滑器 (Slipper clutch 也叫滑動離合器)，可以讓你調整從馬達傳遞到車輪的最大的扭力，以適應低抓地力的路面。可避免車子在瞬間起動或加速時，因動力過大而產生的打滑現象。

b. 先使用一支1.5mm螺絲起子穿過驅動大齒輪軸使之無法旋轉。 c. 順時針方向為鎖緊限滑器，逆時針為鬆開限滑器。

FRONT TOE-IN / TOE-OUT

FRONT CAMBER

你可以使用隨車所附的1.5mm 六角板手，鬆開左右兩個螺絲將齒輪蓋拆下。

調整方式：螺帽旋入至最緊後，再鬆開約1/4圈。注意：螺帽勿鎖入至最緊。當螺帽鎖入過多，將使扭力限制器無法在適當時機作動，造成傳動系統損壞。

前輪束角調整

a. Use 4.0mm wrench to adjust front toe-in.

Lengthening the Turnbuckles will increase the amount of toe-in, shortening them will

increase the amount of toe-out.

c. The flange on the turnbuckle indicates the side that has the right-hand thread. Use it

as a guide to determine which way to turn the turnbuckle when adjusting its length.

a. Use 4.0mm wrench to adjust front camber.

Lengthening tumbuckles can decrease front camber, shortening them will increase front camber.

ADJUSTING THE ESC

ESC SETUP

1. Turn on the transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) in that order.

2. Do not move the throttle trigger. The ESC will set the neutral, full throttle

and brake automatically. It will beep twice to conﬁ rm it is set.

ESC ADJUSTMENTS

The ESC has 5 settings that can be adjusted to different values to suit the user.

1. Battery cut off

TO CHANGE ANY OF THE ESC SETTINGS

1. Turn on the TX.

2. Plug a battery into the ESC.

3. Press and hold the ESC set up button while turning on the ESC switch.

4. The ESC will beep indicating it is in adjustment mode. Release the setup button.

5. Push the setup button to choose the setting you would like to change.

The ESC will ﬂ ash blue and beep to show which of the settings has been selected. Push the button once for battery cut off the ESC will ﬂ

ash and beep once. Pushing the button again to select running mode, the

ESC will ﬂ ash and beep twice, and so on for each setting.

ONCE YOU HAVE SELECTED THE SETTING YOU WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE

1. Push and hold the set button. A long tone will sound to conﬁ rm this setting

can now be changed. Release the set button.

2. Using the ESC adjustment list as a guide, press the set up button to adjust

any settings value. The red LED will ﬂ ash and the ESC will beep to show what value has been selected. One red ﬂ ash and beep is value one, two red ﬂ ashes and beeps is value two etc.

WHEN DONE ADJUSTING A SETTING

1. Press and hold the set up button. A long tone will sound to conﬁ rm

the ESC has returned the setting selection mode. Release the button.

2. Repeat Step 5 to select the next setting or turn off the ESC if you have completed your adjustments.

1. 依序打開遙控發射器(TX)以及遙控接收器(RX)的電源。

2. 請勿作動TX的油門板機。ESC會自動設定中立點、全油門以及剎車。

設定完成後，會有嗶嗶兩聲。

ESC調整

因應使用者習慣，ESC有六種設定功能:

1. 電池低電壓斷電。

2. 行走模式。

3. 剎車力道。

4. 自動減速力道。

5. 油門靈敏度。

6. 出廠設定。

ESC設定模式

1. 打開TX的電源。

2. 將電池連接到ESC。

3. 在打開ESC電源之前，壓下並且不放開ESC設定按鈕。

4. ESC會發出嗶聲表示已進入ESC設定模式。此時請放開設定按鈕。

5. 按壓設定按鈕以選擇欲調整的功能。ESC會閃爍藍燈以及嗶聲顯示目

選定欲調整功能的模式

1. 長按設定按鈕，直到長嗶音出現，放開設定按鈕。

2. 請參閱功能調整表以設定各項功能。按壓設定按鈕來調整數值，紅燈

閃爍一次加上嗶聲一次表示數值一。依此類推。

功能調整完畢之後

1. 長壓設定按鈕，直到長音出現表示已離開該功能設定模式，此時放開按鈕。

2. 重複ESC設定模式的步驟5來設定欲調整的下一個功能，若已完成所有設定，請關閉ESC電源。
