Clean the player with a soft cloth, or a damp chamois leather. Never use solvents.
Useful advice
• Do not store CDs in damp areas.
• Do not expose CDs to high tempera­tures.
• Do not put any tape or adhesives on either side of the disc.
• You should avoid leaving the CD door open. Dust is liable to impair performance of the laser optical unit.
• Do not use your set immediately after transport from a cold place to a warm place: there may be condensation problems.
• Do not touch the playing surface. Make sure that you keep your set away from water and high temperatures.
• If you do not use your set on battery power for more than one month, we advise you to take out all the batteries.
• To prevent personal injury, do not reverse any battery and do not mix battery types.
• Discard leaking batteries immediately. Leaking batteries can cause skin burns or other personal injury.
• Prolonged use of the CD player at full volume can damage the user’s ear.
• The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects
filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
• No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the appara­tus.
• Attention should be drawn to the envi­ronmental aspects of battery disposal.
• Minimum distances (2cm) around the apparatus for sufficient ventilations.
• The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation opening with items, such as newspaper, table-cloths, curtains, etc.
• The rating plate is located at the bottom cabinet of apparatus.

Notes on CD-R/RW Discs
• Do not affix any type of labels to either side (recordable or labeled side) of a CD-R/RW disc as this may result in the unit malfunctioning.
• To avoid damages to the CD-R/RW disc, do not open the disc compartment door while the disc is being read.
• Do not load an unrecorded CD-R/RW disc into the unit. This may take a longer time to read the disc.
• Playback capability for CD-RW discs may vary due to variations in the quality of the CD-RW disc and the recorder used to create the disc.
Please respect the environ­ment !
Before throwing any batteries away, con­sult your distributor who may be able to take them back for specific recycling.
Headset Safety
Have a Blast- Just Not in Your Eardrums Make sure you turn down the volume on the unit before you put on headphones. Increase the volume to the desired level only after headphone is in place.
• Do not play your headset at high volume. Hearing experts warn against
extended high-volume play.
• If you experience ringing in your ears, reduce volume or discontinue use.
• You should use with extreme caution or temporarily discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations. Even if your headset is an open-air designed to let you to hear outside sounds, do not turn up the volume so high that you are unable to hear what is around you.

Unpacking Your Unit
You should have the following:
• one main unit
• AC/DC power adapter
• one set of clip bud phones
• one user’s guide
How to Use Your Clip Bud Phones
The right ear clip phone is labeled R while the left ear clip phone is labeled L.
1. Slide the ear hook behind the ear with the ear pad on the front of the ear. Rotate the clip phone so the ear pad fits closely with the ear.
2. For best sound quality, make sure the earpad fits closely with your ear.

General Control
1. stop button- Turns the unit off / stops CD playback.
2. play/pause button - Turns on the unit, starts or pauses CD playback.
3. - Skip / search backward track /file.
4. - Skip / search forward track /file.
5. m button - Selects the playmode.
6. p button - Enters program mode.
7. DBBS - Selects Bass Boost options.
8. folder - Selects folder.
9. Volume buttons - To adjust the vol­ume.
10. DC jack - You can insert the adapter instead of batteries for indoor use.
11. Line Out / Headphones / remote Jack - Insert your headphones or remote here.
12. open switch - Slide to open CD door.
13. lock switch - To lock or unlock the buttons.
14. play/stop button - Turns on / off the unit, starts or stops CD play­back.

AC Outlet Power Supply
You can power your CD player with an AC/DC adapter. Refer to the table for details of the operating voltage. AC/DC adapter is purposed for indoor use in dry rooms only. Remove the jack from the device to use it with the batteries.
Battery Power Supply
Refer to the table for details of the batteries required to operate your unit.
Recharge function
To charge rechargeable batteries:
1. Insert 2 rechargeable batteries into the battery compartment.
2. Connect the main adapter.
3. Press and hold stop on the unit to start recharging. An battery indicator will be displayed when recharging is in progress.
4. Press play/pause to stop recharg­ing and start playback.

Listening to a Compact / mp3 Disc
Slide the open switch to the right to open the door. Insert a disc and press lightly on the centre to lock. Close the door.
Playback
Press play/pause button on the main unit to start playback. rd diSC will appear on the display. For audio CD, the total number of tracks and time of the CD will be displayed; for mp3 disc, the total folder and track num­bers will be displayed. If the disc compartment is empty or the disc cannot be read, no diSC will appear on the display.
The ELECTRONIC SHOCK PROTECTION (ESP) system prevents sound interruptions when impacts or vibrations occur. Electronic anti-shock consumes less power and increases the battery life. Therefore, the ESP function is always ON. After many successive impacts, the buffer might be emptied causing a brief sound interruption for the memory to reload.

Folder Selection
Press to skip to the previous folder. Press to skip to the next folder.
Skip / Search
Press to skip to the previous track. Press and hold to search backward in a track. Press to skip to the next track. Press and hold to search forward in a track.
Pause
During playback, press play/pause on the main unit to pause playback. The minutes and seconds flash when inter­rupted.
Stop
Press stop on the main unit.
Bass Boost
Press DBBS repeatedly to select NOR­MAL, DBBS I and DBBS II.
Playmode
You can replay the entire CD or one track as many times as you wish.

Replay the current track. Replay the entire CD (CD only) Replay the current folder. (mp3 only) Play tracks randomly. Play random track repeatedly.

Program
This function lets you listen to the tracks you selected in the order you want. You can program up to 24 tracks. The CD play­er must be in stop mode.
1. Press p to enter program mode. P icon will flash in the display.
2. The first unoccupied program location will show on the display, e.g. “P01”.
3. Press or to select a folder and press P to confirm (mp3 disc only).
4. Press or to select a track to store.
5. Press P to confirm your selection.
6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 to store another track.
7. Press play/pause to listen to your programming.
Cancel Program
To cancel your program, press and hold p when you are in the stop mode or pro­gram mode. The program will be auto­matically cancelled. (Program will also be cancelled when you change disc or turn off the unit.)
Exit Program mode
To exit program mode, press stop in stop mode.
Lock
Slide the lock switch on the main unit to HOLD position to lock the button on the
main unit to avoid accidental activation of unwanted functions. “Hold” will show on the display when the control is locked.
CD Player
Note: Remember to slide the lock switch to ON posi­tion to activate the con-
trol again.
Note: To prevent excessive battery consumption,
the unit switches off automatically in all modes after 30s if no key has been activated.

Note: For mp3 disc, if you have
reached the final track within a folder, pressing will bring you to the first track of the next folder.
