MAINTENANCE
This lightweight (35 ounces) pocket size tool features
SHURE-SQUEEZER
pawl mechanism which assures proper compression
before the crimp jaws release.
It installs the complete line of 5/8” self-insulated and
bare SHURE-SPLICER® service entrance connectors,
UB 214 H-TYPE compression taps, one hole & two hole
lugs, the RRK series underground waterproof splices,
pin terminals, high voltage splices, tees & lugs, and the
copper ‘C’ TAP series AWG 4 and 6.
Installation time is quicker because one stroke of the
tool develops a full circumferential compression.
The tool frame is precision cast of high carbon tool
steel with plastisol cushioned handles.
Because the tool has relatively few moving parts,
maintenance consists of an occasional oiling of pivot
and link pin areas.

LUBRICATION
The tool should be oiled occasionally
with a good grade of lubricating oil in
the pivot and link pin areas.
