FLAG, TEE & CROSS CONNECTORS

GENERAL INFORMATION
• Made of high conductivity copper, electro-tin plated.
• Color coded to assist in the matching of installing die and connector.
WARNING
NEVER ATTEMPT TO MAKE A CONNECTION TO A "HOT" LINE. Never
assume the power is OFF! Determine beforehand if any electrical hazard exists.
Maintain adequate spacing for connections or applications in accordance with
all national and local codes.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Verify flag and tee are marked with a “C”.
2. Strip the insulation from cable to the length shown in table on reverse side. Be careful
not to nick cable strands.
3. Cable end should be clean; wire brush and insert into connector until it stops.
4. Table on reverse side shows proper installing die and the number of compressions
required for each die connector combination. Insert connector in die and compress
between markings beginning near the tongue or body of the connector.
CAUTION
Using improper installing die may result in a defective connection.
5. After crimping, remove all sharp edges, flash or burrs.
6. Insulating methods shown in table on reverse side.

this product for the user's intended application. Thomas & Betts warrants that this product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship
for a period of two (2) years following the date of purchase. Upon prompt notification of any warranted defect, Thomas & Betts will, at its option,
repair or replace the defective product or refund the purchase price. Proof of purchase is required. Misuse or unauthorized modification of the
product voids all warranties.

Step 1: Once the conductor size is determined, pick the
appropriate flag connector to match.
Step 2: Select a standard barrel lug that matches the flag
connector cable size.
Step 3: Slide lug onto flag connector post. Align lug tongue into
desired position then crimp.
Step 4: If insulator is going to be used snap cover over assembly.
Due to a solid stud, crimping with hand tools is difficult or requires a higher force.

Step 1: Once the conductor size is determined,
pick the appropriate tee connector to
match.
Step 2: Select standard barrel splices that match
the tee connector cable size.
Step 3: Slide standard splices onto tee
connector post.
Step 4: Crimp standard splices onto tee
connector.
