For ADAPTER RING

Carlon Adapter Ring is designed to allow the installation
of metal covers to the Carlon PVC Floor Box (E971FB).
The following should be noted:
• Metal covers must be at least 4-3/4” diameter.
• Brass, bronze, or aluminum covers may be used provided the attachment
screw positions of the cover match the screw positions on the adapter ring.
• The metal cover must be grounded by attachment of the grounding
conductor to the green grounding screw of the adapter ring.
NOTE: If the device is mounted directly to the adapter ring, the device must
also be grounded.
• Adapter Ring to be used with metal covers listed below.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Cut the oor box ush with the nished oor.
2. Assemble the metal cover to the Adapter Ring, following the instructions of
the cover manufacturer.
3. Apply solvent cement to outer surface of the Adapter Ring and to the oor
box wall (I.D.). Insert assembly into the oor box and position as desired.
Allow cement to dry thoroughly.
4. Remove metal cover attachment screws and lift cover from the oor box.
5. Install device following the manufacturer’s instruction and reassemble the
metal cover to the Adapter Ring.
