Installation Instructions for
1/4” Stainless Steel Ball Valve
Catalog Number: DBV-1/4
For use with Stainless Steel Drain (FG-DA-3/8) when continous drainage is not desirable.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Install Stainless Steel Drain (FG-DA-3/8) to the Junction
Box per instructions provided with the Stainless Steel
Drain (FG-DA-3/8).
2) Apply thread sealant to the 1/4“ NPT Male Pipe Thread
on the 1/4” Stainless Steel Ball Valve (see Figure 1).
3) Thread the 1/4” Stainless Steel Ball Valve to the
Stainless Steel Drain and wrench tighten (see Figure 1).
4) To temporarily prevent drainage, close the Ball Valve by
turning the handle clockwise a quarter turn so the
handle is perpendicular to the axis of the Ball Valve
(see Figure 2).

RISK OF SHOCK, DISCONNECT
POWER BEFORE INSTALLATION.
5) To allow drainage, open Ball Valve by turning handle
counterclockwise a quarter turn so handle is in-line
with the axis of the ball valve (see Figure 2).
6) A tube or hose can be attached to the 1/4“ NPT Outlet
Port at the bottom of the Ball Valve for extended
drainage (see Figure 1).
