OPERATION
1. Turn direction knob (A) to open or close blades.
2. Move handles open and closed. Blade will ratchet as
indicated by the direction knob (A).
3. To rapidly open or close blades, Push and Hold fast
action thumb slide (B) forward while moving handles.
This will permit the handles to open farther for faster
blade movement. Cutting cable in fast action will
reduce leverage and require greater force.

MAINTENANCE TIPS
SHARPENING INSTRUCTIONS:
Follow direction of arrows with stone or very fi ne fi le
over entire blade radius
1. Stone wiping surface fl at near edge.
2. Stone existing angle (35º) to remove nicks.
3. Stone very lightly on 45º angle to remove burrs.
4. Clean blades of grit.
BLADE SECTION
CAUTION
Keep blades clean and oiled.
Tighten fulcrum nut periodically. (220-250 in. lb. torque)
Keep handle bolts tight. (30-50 in. lb. torque)
