POWER BEFORE INSTALLATION.

INSTRUCTION SHEET

Cat. No. CHT814-10

1. Strip insulation from cables to allow for
clearance of taps. DO NOT nick the strands.

2. Insert the cable(s) into the corresponding
groove(s). MAIN and BRANCH.

3. Secure the cables at either side of the
connector by using the TY-RAP

®

cable ties

enclosed.

4. Install the proper die in the installing tool.
INSTALLING TOOL: TBM15I**, TBM15CR-LI**,
TBM14M, 13100A, TBM14CR-LI with
15CA37RCH Green Die or TBM6H,
TBM62PCR-LI, TBM62CR-LI, TBM6UNICR-LI
with 6TON37R Green Die*

Observe the

matching "color code" on die and connector.

5. Locate the connector properly in the die and
crimp.

* 6TON37R requires three crimps, one in the center

then one on each end.

**15 Ton tools require 15500-TB adapter.

PURPOSE, WHICH ARE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMED. LIABILITY FOR BREACH OF THE ABOVE
WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO COST OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT, AND UNDER NO
CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THOMAS & BETTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
