B - 3/4” x 1” PVC Conduit Reducer / Plug (Qty 2)

Floor Box should be installed by a qualied
electrician in accordance with national and local
electrical codes.
Prior to cementing, verify PVC cement / solvent is
not beyond expiration date.
2.0 Required Parts to Activate Floor Box
1. These instructions apply to installation of the 68-HP oor box only. To activate the box a mounting kit and cover must be ordered separately.
2. For Flush Power and Data order:

3. Connect Conduit to Box:
Use 1” box hubs for power and 1-1/2” box hubs
for data.
When required, use furnished reducer bushings (B)
and/or (C) in Figure 1, page 1 or purchase additional sized reducers/plugs as needed.
Cement reducers and non-metallic tubing into box
hubs, plug unused hubs with appropriate reducer/ plugs. Reducer/plug (B) punch or drill out if needed for pass-through (See Figure 5)

4.0 Installation BEFORE Pouring Concrete
1. On Grade Installation:
Level and fasten the box to the form set.
Do not cut top of box. Top of the box should protrude above or be level to the top of the nished concrete surface. See concrete chart (see Section
3.0) for minimum box depth details.
2. In Fire Rated Floor Installation:
Level and fasten the box to the form set.
Do not cut top of box. Top of the box should protrude above or be level to the top of the nished concrete surface. See concrete chart (see Section
3.0) for minimum box depth details.
Provide adequate concrete thickness under box
to preserve the re rating of the oor in
accordance with national and/or local
building codes.

5.0 Installation AFTER Pouring Concrete
1. Leave oor box and concrete cap in place in concrete until concrete hardens. The box will have to be activated prior to power connection.
2. After concrete hardens, the oor box will need to be activated with a 68-HP-FMK Mounting Kit and 68-HP-FC-XXX Cover. (Flush Service) or 68-HP­FFMK Mounting Kit and 68-HP-FCC-XXX Cover (Furniture Feed)
The instructions for activation are included with
each mounting kit and cover.
WARRANTY: Thomas & Betts sells this product with the understanding that the user will perform all necessary tests to determine the suitability of this product for the user’s intended application. Thomas & Betts warrants that this product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days following the date of purchase. Upon prompt notification of any warranted defect, Thomas & Betts will, at its option, repair or replace the defective product or refund the purchase price. Proof of purchase is required. Misuse or unauthorized modification of the product voids all warranties.
