5KV INSULATING BOOTS

WARNING
DO NOT INSTALL ON LIVE CIRCUITS.
MOTOR DISCONNECT NOT TO BE USED FOR CONNECTING OR DISCONNECTING LIVE CIRCUITS.
IMPORTANT: Silicone grease must be used to prevent rubber deterioration.
KIT CONTAINS: BOOT, PIN, AND TWO TUBES OF SILICONE GREASE.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION
CHECK MOTOR ROTATION BY BUMPING MOTOR.
CORRECT ROTATION IF NECESSARY.
— INSTALLATION HINTS —
A. Always use the smallest lug size possible for the largest wire in the junction
box. Line leads are usually larger than load leads.
B. Store the boots and bolts from the junction box in the re-closeable plastic bag provided. Use a Ty-Rap® cable tie or tape the bag to the conduit.
C. IMPORTANT: After inserting the double male pin between the two female connectors on the 5KV connections, make sure you install the boot that matches the size and voltage for your application.
D. IMPORTANT: properly seat connectors by fully inserting motor connectors to the bottom of the boot.

INSTALLATION
STEP 1
size. Install female disconnects per manufacturer's instruction sheet.
STEP 2
(FIGURE 1)
STEP 3 Deposit all silicone grease into bottom of boot.
(2 tubes enclosed)
STEP 4
fully inserting motor disconnects to the bottom of the boot. (FIGURE 2)
STEP 5
above boot, do not tighten (FIGURE 2).
STEP 6
of the 1st Ty-Rap® cable tie and bottom of boot (FIGURE 3).
STEP 7
secure 2nd cable tie, do not over tighten (FIGURE 3).

Select T&B connectors as needed for motor and line wire
Insert double male pin between two female disconnects.
It is very important that the connector is properly seated by
Wrap 1st Ty-Rap® cable tie around the cables about one inch
Place 2nd Ty-Rap® cable tie between the two cables on top
Secure 1st Ty-Rap® cable tie tightly around cables and then
