A.) A gap of 3/32” (2,4 mm) or less between the
skirts of the connectors and the recess of the tee connector assures proper installation.
B.) Unfold the three straps being careful not to
kink them. Slip two straps, one on each side, under the two collars on the assembled tee splice run. Allow 5/8” (15,9 mm) to 3/4” (19,1 mm) of one strap to extend through the collar. Now, using pliers, bend and form the straps around the collar as illustrated at the right. Follow the same procedure for the second strap on the same collar. Push this assembly tight against the connector.
C.) Push the opposite collar tight against the
opposite connector. Pull both straps toward the opposite collar to assure a tight assembly. Cut off the strap 5/8” (15,9 mm) to 3/4” (19,1 mm) past the collar. Bend and form each of these straps around the collar as previously instructed in step 2B.

Push the collar tight against the connector. Now, bend the strap around the tee connector, over the previously installed straps, and slip it through the opposite side of the collar. Cut the strap 5/8” (15,9 mm) to 3/4” (19,1 mm) past the collar. Note that the strap will have to be placed to one side of the rubber projection on the tee connector. T o assure a tight assembly, pull the straps towards the tee connector and follow the previous procedure used for securing the strap to the collar.
