7 Operating
7.1 Starting the device in mains operation
Connect the cable of the mains adapter to the 9V socket on the rear panel of the device. Then connect the mains adapter to a power outlet. Rotate the control [ +(DIMMER / POWER SWITCH)-] clockwise past the resistance to turn the device on. The device is then ready for use.
When turning on the device in manual mode (switch [DIMMER MODE] is in
MANUAL position), ‘HANd’ lights in the display. Colour temperature and bright‐ ness can then be adjusted using the two rotary controls.
When turning on the device in auto mode (switch [DIMMER MODE] is in AUTO
position), ‘Auto’ lights in the display. You can then only adjust the colour temper‐ ature using the [CW (COLOR TEMPERATURE) WW] control, but not the brightness.
If you want to control the brightness yourself the switch [DIMMER MODE] must be in MANUAL position. Otherwise the brightness is adjusted via DMX control. Rotate the control [+(DIMMER / POWER SWITCH)-] clockwise to increase the brightness. Turn it counter-clockwise to decrease the brightness.

7.2 Starting the device in battery operation
If there is no mains power available on site, you can also power the device using the built-in rechargeable battery. For this, the battery needs to be charged before. Connect the cable of the mains adapter to the 9V socket on the rear panel of the device. Then connect the mains adapter to a power outlet. Charging starts. A full charge takes about 2.5 hours and is sufficient for about 3.5 operating hours.
During charging, the lighting may be switched on or off. With the lights on, the
charging time may increase.
After charging is complete, rotate the control [+(DIMMER / POWER SWITCH)-] clockwise past the resistance to turn the device on. The device is then ready for use.

9 Plug and connection assignments
This chapter will help you select the right cables and plugs to connect your valuable equip‐ ment so that a perfect light experience is guaranteed.
Please take our tips, because especially in ‘Sound & Light’ caution is indicated: Even if a plug fits into a socket, the result of an incorrect connection may be a destroyed DMX controller, a short circuit or ‘just’ a not working light show!
The unit offers a 3-pin XLR socket for DMX output and a 3-pin XLR plug for DMX input. Please refer to the drawing and table below for the pin assignment of a suitable XLR plug.

Symptom Remedy
The unit does not work, no light.
Check the mains connection and the fuse.
No response to the DMX con‐ troller.
1. Check the DMX ports and cables for proper connection.
2. Check the address settings and the DMX polarity.
3. Try using another DMX controller.
4. Check to see if the DMX cables run near or alongside to high voltage cables that may cause damage or interfer‐ ence to DMX interface circuits.
