2 Safety instructions
This device is intended to be used for amplification and playback of signals from musical instruments with electromagnetic pickups. Any other use or use under other operating condi‐ tions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.
This device may be used only by persons with sufficient physical, sensorial, and intellectual abilities and having corresponding knowledge and experience. Other persons may use this device only if they are supervised or instructed by a person who is responsible for their safety.
DANGER! Danger for children
Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are not within reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard!
Ensure that children do not detach any small parts (e.g. knobs or the like) from the unit. They could swallow the pieces and choke!

DANGER! Electric shock caused by high voltages inside
Within the device there are areas where high voltages may be present. Never remove any covers.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
DANGER! Electric shock caused by short-circuit
Always use proper ready-made insulated mains cabling (power cord) with a pro‐ tective contact plug. Do not modify the mains cable or the plug. Failure to do so could result in electric shock/death or fire. If in doubt, seek advice from a regis‐ tered electrician.

CAUTION! Possible hearing damage
With loudspeakers or headphones connected, the device can produce volume levels that may cause temporary or permanent hearing impairment.
Do not operate the device permanently at a high volume level. Decrease the volume level immediately if you experience ringing in your ears or hearing impairment.
NOTICE! Risk of fire
Do not cover the device nor any ventilation slots. Do not place the device near any direct heat source. Keep the device away from naked flames.

NOTICE! Operating conditions
This device has been designed for indoor use only. To prevent damage, never expose the device to any liquid or moisture. Avoid direct sunlight, heavy dirt, and strong vibrations.
NOTICE! Power supply
Before connecting the device, ensure that the input voltage (AC outlet) matches the voltage rating of the device and that the AC outlet is protected by a residual current circuit breaker. Failure to do so could result in damage to the device and possibly injure the user.
Unplug the device before electrical storms occur and when it is unused for long periods of time to reduce the risk of electric shock or fire.

4 Installation and starting up
Unpack and carefully check that there is no transportation damage before using the unit. Keep the equipment packaging. To fully protect the device against vibration, dust and moisture during transportation or storage use the original packaging or your own packaging material suitable for transport or storage, respectively.
Establish all connections as long as the unit is switched off. Use the shortest possible high­quality cables for all connections.
NOTICE! Possible property damage by magnetic fields
Loudspeakers produce a static magnetic field. Therefore, maintain an appropriate distance to devices that can be adversely affected or damaged by an external magnetic field.

1 [HEADPHONE]
1/4" phone socket for headphones. If you connect headphones, the internal speaker is disconnected. To avoid annoying noise, turn the ‘VOLUME’ (15) control down before plugging headphones in or out.
2 [LOW]
Control to attenuate or increase the low frequencies in the 4-band EQ.
3 [EQUALIZER ON/OFF]
To turn the 4-band EQ on or off.
4 [LOW MID]
Control to attenuate or increase the lower mids in the 4-band EQ.
5 [HIGH MID]
Control to attenuate or increase the upper mids in the 4-band EQ.
6 [HIGH]
Control to attenuate or increase the high frequencies in the 4-band EQ.

7 [EFFECTS]
This LED lights up when one of the built-in effects is active.
8 [E.LEVEL]
This control lets you adjust the effect intensity.
9 [COMP]
The compressor reduces the signal dynamics above a fixed threshold value, thus limiting loud peaks. The indicator lights up when the compressor responds.
10 LED [ACTIVE]
Power indicator LED. This LED is permanently on in normal mode. It goes off when the energy-saving mode is ena‐ bled and the box enters the standby mode.
11 [STANDBY]
Push button to enable or disable the energy saving mode. If the power is on and there is no signal input at the [INPUT] jack for 15 minutes, the device will automatically enter
standby mode. As soon as the [INPUT] jack receives a instrument signal, the device switches back to normal mode.

12 LED [STANDBY]
Standby mode. This LED lights up when the energy saving mode is enabled and the box enters the standby mode. It goes off again when the box switches back to normal.
13 [POWER]
Use the mains switch to turn the unit on or off.
14 [EFFECTS ON/OFF]
This switch turns the built-in effects function on or off.
15 [E.MODE]
Rotary switch for selecting one of the 9 built-in effects: 1 = delay, 2–9 = chorus. Press on this knob to enter the edit mode for the selected effect. The circularly arranged LEDs now indicate the set
parameters for this effect, that you now can adjust by turning the [E.Mode] knob. To save the settings and exit the editing mode, press again on the knob or wait 5 seconds.
Keep this knob pressed for 3 seconds to reactivate the preset parameters.
16 [TREBLE]
Treble control of the 2-band tone stack.

Bass control of the 2-band tone stack.
18 [VOLUME]
Volume control.
19 [BOOST]
Press this switch to boost the low frequencies.
20 [BRIGHT]
Press this switch to boost the high frequencies.
21 [GAIN]
This knob controls the input gain.
22 [INPUT]
1/4" TS phone socket for the input signal from your instrument.

23 IEC chassis connector with fuse holder. Use the supplied mains cable to connect this mains power connector to an
earthed wall outlet.
24 [FOOT SW - EFF ON/OFF]
You can connect a foot switch (not supplied) to this 1/4" TRS phone socket to turn the effects function on or off.
25 [EXT SPEAKER]
Here you can connect an additional external speaker. The minimum impedance of such a speaker is 4 W, otherwise the amplifier is overloaded and might get damaged.
26 [PRE OUT]
1/4" TS phone socket providing the preamp out signal. Use this outlet to feed the preamp signal e.g. into a mixing console, recording device or external power amp.
27 [AUX IN]
Additional signal input to connect a CD player, drum module or the like.

7 Connector and pin assignments
This chapter will help you select the right cables and plugs to connect your valuable equip‐ ment in such a way that a perfect sound experience is ensured.
Please note these advices, because especially in ‘Sound & Light’ caution is indicated: Even if a plug fits into the socket, an incorrect connection may result in a destroyed power amp, a short circuit or ‘just’ in poor transmission quality!

8 Protecting the environment
