Within the unit there are areas where high voltages may be present. To reduce the risk of electric shock do not remove any covers unless the AC mains power cord is removed. Cov-
ers should be removed by qualied service personnel only.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside.

To avoid breakage, do not apply excessive force to the switches or controls.

Pinching hazard
Be careful, the sliding key cover may pinch your ngers. Do not insert a nger or hand into any gaps on the sliding key cover or instrument.
WARNING
Hearing damage
Using the instrument or headphones for a long period of time at a high or uncomfortable volume level can can cause permanent hearing loss. Use the piano and headphones at a moderate volume level.
Notice
Damage to equipment!
When the top cover is closed, you can put any objects on it. To avoid falling objects, be careful where you place monitors, a laptop, speakers or other devices on the piano.

Rich acoustic sounds
Eight popular, high-quality sounds are built into the Thomann DP-S 307 UP. Some of the sounds include a stereo grand piano and a jazz trio. You can utilize the layer function to simultaneously play two sounds.

High-gloss ebony paint provides an exquisite feel to match your specic taste. It will always stand out, no 
matter where you have it, because of its distinguished design.
No need for tuning
Tuning is a difcult and expensive process. Tuning is not required when you have this piano in your hands. 
We can guarantee that the sound will remain unchanged, no matter how long you have this piano in your possession. Through advanced technological advances, we have made this possible for your convenience.
Keyboard and effects
You can play the piano with graded hammered action keys and adapt various effects to the selected source.
Multi-purpose
The Thomann DP-S 307 UP features wireless device connection as well as a USB audio interface for sound recording and VST (Virtual Studio Technology) plug-ins. This product also features clean true-sound speak-
ers which are untainted by any lters, providing only the purest of sounds. What you play is what you hear; 
what you hear is what you get.
Perfect link with the computer
You can connect the Thomann DP-S 307 UP with a computer via an USB cable. In addition, you can oper­ate lots of software with Thomann DP-S 307 UP, such as multimedia players, recording software, lesson programs and so on.
Unlimited sound samples
The Thomann DP-S 307 UP can be connected to a computer with a USB cable. That means, you can use any VSTs installed in your computer as the sound samples of the Thomann DP-S 307 UP.
Digital audio workstation
The Thomann DP-S 307 UP is equipped with a USB audio interface and is compatible with ASIO 2.0 and  CoreAudio drivers. It can be used as a professional digital audio workstation.

It is located inside the cabinet.

MASTER VOLUME slider You can adjust the volume for the output, headphones and connectors.

FX SOURCE This option allows you to select the source to which the effects are sent.
Choices include MIC input, LINE input and SOUND input. SOUND is preselected when you turn on the Thomann DP-S 307 UP.

FX TYPE This allows you to select between the different internal effects on the Thomann DP-S 307 UP.
Available effects include REVERB, CHORUS, and ECHO. REVERB is preselected when you turn on the Thomann DP-S 307 UP.

FX DEPTH This allows you to control the amount of the effect that is mixed in with the Thomann DP-S 307 UP.
Choices include HIGH, MID, and LOW. LOW is preselected when you turn on the Thomann DP-S 307 UP.

SOUNDS Press a button to select a sound (Single Mode).
Holding down a sound button while pressing another sound button allows you to mix two sounds together.
The volume of the rst sound is 30% louder than the second sound (Layer Mode).

DEMO FUNCTION When the two DEMO buttons (FUNCTION + INT. SOUND OFF) are pressed simultaneously, the 
SOUND buttons (Piano, Jazz Trio, E.P1, E.P2, Organ1, Organ2, String, Pad) start ashing. When  a ashing button is pressed, the appropriate sound demo is replayed. When a selected demo song 
is over, the next song will be replayed automatically. To stop replaying the demo songs, press the
FUNCTION or INT. SOUND OFF button. Pressing the FUNCTION button and holding it down while the appropriate key on the keyboard is 
pressed, activates the corresponding function. For details see Functions.

DEMO INT. SOUND OFF This switches off the internal sound completely (even the headphone operation is switched off).

Power switch Once the power cord is connected on the rear panel, you can turn the power switch on.

Wireless audio module You can connect a wireless audio device to play your music with the Thomann DP-S 307 UP.

Sensitivity This allows setting the proper speaker output level of the Thomann DP-S 307 UP. Each sensitivity
knob controls the left and right speaker level individually.
Functions
Touch sensitivity
This function allows to set the touch sensitivity. While holding down the FUNCTION button on the control  panel, select one of the touch sensitivity keys SOFT, MID, HEAVY, or FIX (SOFT: B1, MID: C2, HEAVY: D2,  FIX: E2) on the keyboard. The touch sensitivity default setting is MID.

Transpose
This function allows to shift the pitch of the entire keyboard up or down in semitone intervals up to a maxi-
mum of twelve semitones. While holding down the FUNCTION button on the control panel, select one of the  transposition keys between C3 and C5 on the keyboard. If you want to go back to the original pitch, press the  FUNCTION button and the C4 key. For example, if you select G4, playing key C4 produces pitch G4. This way,  you can play a song as if it was in C major, but the DP-S307 UP will transpose it to the key of G.
Layer mode
When you play two instruments in layer mode, you can adjust the volume level of the second instrument with
this function. While holding down the FUNCTION button on the control panel, press the DOWN [-] or UP [+]  key on the keyboard until the volume is set to the level you desire. If you want to decrease the level of the  second instrument, press the FUNCTION button on the control panel and the E5 key on the keyboard.
Microphone level
You can control the microphone input level with this function. While holding down the FUNCTION button on the 
control panel, press the corresponding key on the keyboard to adjust the volume. C6 on the keyboard decreases the microphone input level, and E6 increases the microphone input level. You need to use a high-impedance microphone with the DP-S307 UP.

Rear panel
The rear panel of the Thomann DP-S 307 UP provides the connectors shown in the following gure.

MIDI IN/OUT connectors Connectors that are used to connect other MIDI devices such as a sequencer, keyboards, etc.
MIDI OUT: MIDI data output (to be connected to the MlDl IN connector of another MlDl device). MIDI IN: Data input (to be connected to the MlDl OUT connector of another MlDl device).

USB connector You can connect the provided USB cable to the Thomann DP-S 307 UP for using it with the com-
puter.

LINE IN/OUT connectors These jacks can be connected to external audio devices with RCA cables.
LINE IN:   You can connect an MP3 player, a CD player, a radio or any audio player to LINE IN.
Then you can listen to the external audio player’s playback through the Thomann DP-S 307 UP’s speakers.
LINE OUT: If you would like listen to the sound from the Thomann DP-S 307 UP through other     audio devices such as a Hi- audio deck, powered speakers, etc., you can connect the    Thomann DP-S 307 UP’s LINE OUT to external audio devices with RCA cables.

MIC input You can connect a dynamic microphone to this input with a TRS cable. Then, you can listen and
record your voice through the Thomann DP-S 307 UP.

Headphone output The two headphone output connectors are located on the left side under the keyboard.
The pedals
The 3 pedals are the Soft, Sostenuto and Sustain pedals. They work in the same manner as if you were play­ing an acoustic piano.
Soft pedal
The notes played while this pedal is down will sound softer.
Sostenuto pedal
Pressing this pedal sustains only those notes which are depressed at the same time that the pedal is depressed, while future notes played will be unaffected
Sustain pedal
Pressing this pedal causes notes to sustain even when you lift your ngers 
from the keys.

Charging the wireless audio module
This wireless audio module has a rechargeable internal battery that is not removable. Ensure that you fully charge the battery before using the wireless audio module for the
rst time.
Put the adapter into the adapter jack and into a power outlet. The indicator light turns on red.
Pairing with your wireless device
•  Enter pairing mode.
- Slide the power switch while pressing [
] and holding [ ] to turn the wireless audio module on. The
indicator light turns on blue and stays lit after ashing blue, red and purple twice.
- If you turn the wireless audio module on for the rst time, it proceeds to pairing mode immediately.
•  Search for and connect with the other Bluetooth device according to your Bluetooth device user’s guide. (Bluetooth PIN: 0000, 4 zeros)
Note
When the wireless audio module and the other Bluetooth device are paired, press [
] to reconnect via the 
previously connected Headset Prole or Hands-Free Prole, or press [ ] to reconnect via the Advanced Audio Distribution Prole.
Using music control functions
•  Press [ ] to listen to music / pause and resume playback.
•  Press and hold [ ] to stop playback.
•  Press [] to skip backward or [] to skip forward.
•  Press and hold [] to scan backward or [] to scan forward in a le.

Connection to external devices
The connection to external MlDl devices
What is MIDI?
MIDI is the abbreviation of Musical Instrument Digital Interface. It is an international standard that was created 
to connect and transfer data between electronic musical instruments, computers and other devices.
What can you do with MIDI?
You can use the Thomann DP-S 307 UP to control other instruments, and you can use other instruments to control the Thomann DP-S 307 UP. Also, you can use a sequencer to create complex musical pieces. When
you use the Thomann DP-S 307 UP, the MIDI signal is transmitted to another instrument, or recorded by a 
sequencer.
Connections
Connect the MIDI OUT connector of the transmitting (master) device to the MlDl IN connector of the receiving 
(slave) device. To connect the Thomann DP-S 307 UP to a computer, you need a MlDl interface for the com­puter, sequencing or musical notation software, and two standard MlDl cables.

Connection to a computer
The Thomann DP-S 307 UP includes both an onboard MIDI interface as well as an audio interface. So you can 
use the Thomann DP-S 307 UP by simply connecting it without a special interface. After connecting, you can
use the function of the audio and MIDI interface.
Connections
It is very easy to connect the Thomann DP-S 307 UP with your computer. Find the USB port on the rear of the 
Thomann DP-S 307 UP. Connect the provided USB cable (plug type series B) to the Thomann DP-S 307 UP
and nd the USB port on the computer. Next, plug the Thomann DP-S 307 UP’s USB cable (plug type series 
A) into the USB port of the computer.
Driver software installation
Please visit www.asio4all.com and
download the latest ASIO universal 
driver. Once the driver download has been completed, double-click the
 driver install le. Then click “Next” 
and follow the instructions on the screen. With this installation, the DP-S 307 UP becomes ASIO- and MIDI-compli­ant.

How to adjust audio settings
Windows
You can set up sound and audio default devices on the system control panel. Depending on your specic au­dio conguration and software installed on your computer, this may vary. For details please refer to the Win-
dows operating instructions.
After the set up, you can play the Thomann DP-S 307 UP while listening to any audio le via Windows Media 
Player, for example. This allows you to easily practice along with your favourite songs on the Thomann DP-S 307 UP.
Mac OS
The installation is very simple. After connecting the Thomann DP-S 307 UP, your Macintosh computer will
automatically detect the Thomann DP-S 307 UP. After the Thomann DP-S 307 UP is detected, congure it ac­cording to your needs. “Audio MIDI setup” can be found in Applications\Utilities folder. The Thomann DP-S 307 
UP is fully compatible with the Mac OSX’s Core Audio drivers.
Connection to external audio equipment
You can connect the Thomann DP-S 307 UP’s LINE outputs to external audio equipment such as power ampli­ers, powered studio monitors, recorders, or Hi-Fi audio systems. After connecting the Thomann DP-S 307 UP, 
you can listen to your Thomann DP-S 307 UP via external audio equipment. You can also record the sound from the Thomann DP-S 307 UP by using an external audio recorder. You can connect an audio player to the Thomann DP-S 307 UP to listen to music through speakers of the Thomann DP-S 307 UP. Additionally, you can record the Thomann DP-S 307 UP’s sounds from the computer‘s audio player.

Protecting the environment
Disposal of the packaging material
For the transport and protective packaging, environmentally friendly materials have been chosen that can be supplied to normal recycling. Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are properly disposed and are not in the reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard! Do not just dispose these mate­rials with your normal household waste, but make sure that they are fed to a recovery. Please follow the notes and markings on the packaging.
Disposal of your old device
Electrical and electronic equipment often contain materials which can be unhealthy and environmentally harmful, if not properly treated and disposed of. However, they are essential for the proper operation of your device. At the end of its operating life­time, do not dispose the device with your normal household waste. This device is subject to the European directive 2002/96/EC.
Dispose this device through an approved waste disposal rm or through your local 
waste facility. When discarding the unit, comply with the rules and regulations that ap-
