Safety instructions
Intended use
This product is meant to be used as preamp and DI box for bass guitars. Any other use or use under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.
Danger for children
Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are not within reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard! Ensure that children do not detach any small parts from the product. They could swallow the pieces and choke! and choke! Never let children unattended use electrical devices.
Risk of re due to incorrect polarity
Incorrectly inserted batteries may destroy the device or the batteries. Ensure that pro­per polarity is observed when inserting batteries.

Possible damage by leaking batteries
Leaking batteries can cause permanent damage to the device. Take batteries out of the device if it is not going to be used for a longer period.

• in conditions of extreme temperature or humidity
• in extremely dusty or dirty areas
• at locations where the unit can become wet
General handling
• To prevent damage, never use force when handling the product.
• Never immerse the product in water. Just wipe it with a clean dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene, thinners or ammable cleaning agents.

Using the product
1. Insert a 9V battery into the device or connect a suitable power adapter (not supplied) that provides 9V to the 9V connector (centre negative ). Turn on the unit with the ON / OFF switch, the ON / OFF LED will turn red.
2. Connect an electric bass to the INPUT jack using a shielded 1/4" jack cable. Watch the CLIP LED while playing. If it often turns red, turn the GAIN control counterclockwise. If the LED is still red, the instrument's output level is too high. Then set the INPUT switch to the -10 dB position.
3. Connect an amplier to the OUTPUT socket. You can connect headphones to the PHONES socket. The DI signal for feeding into a mixing console is present at the D.I. OUT output. To feed the dry input signal to other devices, connect them to the THRU socket.

4. Use the EQ to adjust your desired sound. The FREQ control allows you to adjust the centre frequency of the mid control between 150Hz and 8kHz. The BLEND control adjusts the ratio between the dry signal (left stop) and the EQ-processed signal (right stop).
5. To activate the compressor function, press the COMP. switch, the COMP. LED will turn red. Use the COMP. control to set the compression ratio. The THRESHOLD control determines the level above which the signal will be processed by the compressor.
For the transport and protective packaging, environmentally friendly materials have been chosen that can be supplied to normal recycling. Ensure that plastic bags, pack­aging, etc. are properly disposed of. Do not just dispose of these materials with your normal household waste, but make sure that they are collected for recycling. Please follow the notes and markings on the packaging.
Batteries must not be disposed of as domestic waste or thrown into re. Dispose of batteries according to national or local regulations regarding hazardous waste. Dispo­se of empty batteries at appropriate collection sites.
