This quick start guide contains important information on the safe operation of the device. Read and follow the safety advice and instructions given. Retain the manual for future reference. If you pass on the device please include this manual.

Safety instructions
Intended use
This device is intended for tuning musical instruments. Any other use or use under oth­er operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.
Danger for children
Incorrect handling of lithium batteries can result in injury
• In the event of a short circuit, overheating or mechanical damage, lithium batteries can cause severe injuries.
• Store lithium batteries in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources, ideally in the original packaging.
• Lithium batteries are hermetically sealed. Never attempt to open a lithium battery.
• Only use powder extinguishers or other suitable extinguishing agents to extinguish a burning device containing lithium batteries.

A) Where to use the product
Never use the product
• in direct sunlight
• in conditions of extreme temperature or humidity
• in extremely dusty or dirty areas
• at locations where the unit can become wet

B) Electromagnetic compatibility other electrical equipment
Using the device near radios or TV sets may cause interference. Then increase the distance between the devices.
C) General handling
• To prevent damage, never use force when operating the switches and controls.
• Never immerse the appliance in water. Just wipe it with a clean dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene, thinners or ammable cleaning agents.
D) Keep foreign substances from the unit!
Keep the device away from containers with liquids. Should any liquid get into the unit, this could lead to its destruction or re. Be sure not to let any metal objects into the unit.

Display
Using the device
Clip the unit to the instrument to be tuned with the display face up and well readable for you. Keep button w pressed for two seconds to turn the device on or o. Press but­ton w repeatedly to select the desired tuning mode C(chromatic), G(guitar), B(bass), U(ukulele) or V(violin). Use button e to shift the reference tone in 1 Hz steps up in a range of 430 - 450 Hz.

For the transport and protective packaging, environmentally friendly materials have been chosen that can be supplied to normal recycling. Ensure that plastic bags, packag­ing, etc. are properly disposed of. Do not just dispose of these materials with your normal household waste, but make sure that they are collected for recycling. Please follow the notes and markings on the packaging.
Batteries must not be thrown away or incinerated; they must be disposed of in accord­ance with local regulations for the disposal of hazardous waste. Use the existing collec­tion points for this. Remove replaceable lithium batteries from the device before disposal. Protect used lith­ium batteries from short circuits, for example by covering the poles with adhesive tape. Permanently installed lithium batteries must be disposed of together with the device. Please inquire about a suitable acceptance point.

If you play a string, the note it is tuned to is displayed. Tune the string to the desired tone. If the mark appears blue and in centre (-3 to +3 cents), the string is in tune. If it appears yellow and left of centre, tuning is at. If it appears red and right of centre, tuning is sharp. All settings are retained even after turning the unit o.
Loading the battery
If the display brightness decreases you need to recharge the internal battery. Connect the device via the included USB cable to the USB port of a running computer or a USB charger. During charging you see the symbol. Upon completion of loading the
symbol appears in the display.
Notes: If the device is not used for an extended period, it should be recharged every 6 months in order to not aect the service life of the built-in battery. The charging time is approximately 1.5 hours. A full charge allows an operating period of 5.5 hours.
