Safety instructions

Intended use

This device is used for simultaneous charging of up to four rechargeable batteries of the Bat series or Makita BL 1013 (Thomann item no. 385488). Any other use or use under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.

Danger for children

Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are not within reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard! Ensure that children do not detach any small parts from the product. They could swallow the pieces and choke! Never let children unattended use electrical devices.

Possible damage by leaking batteries

Leaking batteries can cause permanent damage to the device. Take batteries out of the device if it is not going to be used for a longer period.

General handling

To prevent damage, never use force when handling the product.

Never immerse the product in water. Just wipe it with a clean dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene, thinners or flammable cleaning agents.

Using the device

1.If required, mount the device in a 19" rack.

2.Insert the plug of the mains power cable (6) into a properly wired power outlet.

3.Insert 1 to 4 Bat or Makita BL 1013 rechargeable batteries into the slots (1).

4.Set the on / off switch (3) to the ON position to turn on the unit.

5.During charging, the charging indicator of the respective charging slot lights red. When the battery is fully charged, the charging indicator lights green.

6.When all batteries are charged, turn the On / Off switch (3) to the OFF position to turn off the unit.

7.Press the two buttons on the battery and remove it from the charging slot.

For the transport and protective packaging, environmentally friendly materials have been chosen that can be supplied to normal recycling. Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are properly disposed of. Do not just dispose of these materials with your normal household waste, but make sure that they are collected for recycling. Batteries must not be disposed of as domestic waste or thrown into fire. Dispose of batteries according to national or local regulations regarding hazardous waste. Dispose of empty batteries at appropriate collection sites.
