Battery Precautions
The precautions below should be followed when using batteries in this device:
1. Use only the sizeand typeof batteries specified.
2. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries as indicated in the battery compartment. Reversed batteries may cause damage to thedevice.
3. Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline and Carbon Zinc) or oldbatteries with freshones.

MAKING THE CONNECTIONS
CONNECTING POWER
Insert the DC plug of the power adapter into the DC 12V jack of the unit. You can power the system from a standard AC outlet by using the supplied Power Adapter (The
adapter operates on .AC 100V 240V/50Hz-60Hz )-

DC OPERATION
1. Lift battery door to reveal battery compartment. Insert eight (8) “C” size alkaline batteries (not provided)
as indicated.
2. Replace cover tightlybefore operating.
3. When not using batteriesfor a long period of time, removebatteries to prevent leakage in compartment.
Replace all batteriesat the sametime. Do notmix old batterieswith new batteries.
Your Singing Machine is designed to connect to your TV the same way you would connect most video cameras, VCR/DVD playersor video gameconsoles.
We have provided RCAcables to connect your unit to a TV, VCR/DVD player, video device or an external audio/sound system. The RCA cables have three connections at each end (white and red are for left and right audio connectionsand the yellowis for videoconnection).
Please follow thesteps below todisplay CD+G lyricson the TVscreen:
(1) Locate the multi-colored RCAcables (2) Connect video cable (yellow)to the videoout of theback of theSinging Machine (3) Connect the other end of the video cable (yellow) to the video input on your TV or VCR/DVD

SELECTING YOUR SINGINGMACHINE ASYOUR SOURCE/INPUT
Selecting your Singing Machine as a source/input on your TV is very similar to connecting a VCR/DVD or Satellite system.
We’ve listed belowthe most commonways of selectingthe source fromyour TV orVCR/DVD Player:
(1) In the set up menu of the TVor VCR/DVD player there may be an option for “Input Select”where
you can choosebetween “Cable/Ant., Video1, Video 2,etc.” as the inputsource.
(2) Look for a TV channelbetween the highest and lowest on your TV or VCR/DVD player (i.e.AUX,
EXT, LINE1 orLINE IN)
(3) Your remote control for either your TV or VCR/DVD player may have source input selections as
well as detailedbelow: “VIDEO, VIDEO 1, GAME,AUX, EXT or LINE-IN.“ Choosing one of those in most cases should display the lyricsfrom your SingingMachine as well.
AUDIO CONNECTION
Please follow thesteps below toconnect the unitto your TV, VCR orhome stereo system:
(1) Locatethe multi-coloredRCA cables. (2) Connect audio cables (White and Red) to the Audio Out (White-Left and Red-Right)of the back of
the Singing Machine.
(3) Connect the other end of the audio cables to the audio/auxiliary input on your TV, VCR or home
stereo system.

To turnon the unit, pressthe ON/OFF button, theON/OFF LED Indicator willlight up. To turnit off,press the ON/OFFbutton again, theON/OFF LED Indicatorwill turn off.
Open theCD door, place a CD or CD+G disc in the compartment withthe printed side facing upward and the shiny sidefacing down. Gently close theCD door. The LEDwindow will display the totalnumber of tracks.(

To temporarilystop playing, press thePLAY/PAUSEbutton. The PLAY/PAUSELED Indicatorwill flash. To resumeplay, press thisbutton again.
If the STOP button ispressed inthe courseof playing, the disc will cease to play. (The total number of tracks will be shownon the LEDwindow.)
Rotate to theMASTER VOLUME controlto obtain thedesired sound level.
During STOP mode you can skip forward or back to your desired track number by pressing SKIP buttons - SKIP ­To resume playing the selected song press PLAY PAUSE button
When playing any audio CD, press and hold the SKIP button ( -SKIP- ). The CDwill search at high speed in theforward or backwarddirection. Normal playwill continue whenyou release thebutton.
To repeatthe track currently playing,press the REPEATbutton once. TheREPEAT LEDwill start to flash. To repeatall tracks,press theREPEATbutton twice. The REPEAT LED willlight upand staylit. Pressthe PLAY/PAUSE button tobegin. To clearthe REPEAT function, pressthe REPEAT button again.The REPEAT LED willturn off.

Pressing pause repeatedly when a CD+G is playing may cause distorted lyrics on the screen. Any distortion will remain on the screen until it is refreshed either during an instrumental break or when the song is stopped and/or when the song is started from the beginning.

Use this buttonto program andplay back songsin a preselectedorder. Step 1: Programming should be done in the stop mode only. AUTO VOICE CONTRO
Adjust the ECHOcontrol to enhance yourvoice for a concerthall effect.
Warning - We recommend adjusting the volume on your digital device to 1/3 or lower to avoid distortion.
- To avoid microphone feedback do not hold the microphone too close to the speaker.
Adjust the BALANCE control to separate the prerecorded singer’s voice and music when using a multiplex karaoke disc. (Please see Glossaryof terms on pageE12 to learn moreabout multiplex.)
AUTO VOICE CONTROL can be activated by rotating the AUTO VOICE CONTROL knob to the right. The vocals on the multiplex recording will be mutedwhen using the microphone. Whenthe microphone is not inuse the pre-recorded vocals will resume ona multiplex disc.

If you have followed the instructions and are having difficulty operating the unit, locate the PROBLEM in the left column below. Check the corresponding POSSIBLE CAUSE column to locate and remedythe problem.
