Instrument Operation
The thermometer is switched on automatically when the probe cover is removed and switched off automatically when the probe cover is replaced. The unit will also shut off automatically af ter 1 hour and turn back on by pressing any key.
Inser t the stainless steel probe to the desired depth. The measured temperature will be shown on the LCD display within 5 to 6 seconds.
To Select °F or °C
Twist off the battery cap. Locate the switch under the battery. Slide the switch (°F/°C) to the desired temperature unit. Replace the battery (CR2032) noting the correct polarity (‘+’ facing up). Replace the bat ter y cap.
Using MAX/MIN
Press MAX/MIN to display maximum recorded reading. MAX will flash on the display. Press the button again to display minimum recorded reading. MIN will flash on the display. Press the button once more to return to normal display. To reset the memory, press and hold the MAX /MIN button until the display flashes ”---.-”. Remember to reset the memory before taking new readings.
Battery Installation
Twist off the battery cap. Install the bat ter y (CR2032) noting the correct polarity (‘+’ facing up). Replace the battery cap.
Data Hold Function
Press HOLD to retain display reading, °F or °C will flash. Press HOLD again to return to normal display.
Care and Cleaning
Clean the probe immediately af ter each measurement to avoid cross contamination. Do not expose the entire thermometer to temperatures over 122˚F (50˚C). Do not leave inside ovens. Not submersible.
