Operating Instructions
INSTRUMENT OPERATION - Apply the tip of the probe to
the substance, medium or surface to be measured. The
instrument reading may take a few seconds to stabilize,
depending on the nature of the measurement.
CHANGE FROM FAHRENHEIT TO CELSIUS - Press and
hold the “ON/OFF” button for 5 seconds and the displayed
temperature will change from °F to °C.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT - The instrument will display 'LO
BAT' to warn that the batteries will need changing soon. The
instrument continues to measure accurately but after fur ther
usage the instrument will display 'flat bat' and shutdown.
Replace the batteries with three AAA batteries located under
the rear cover that is held in place by a single screw.
ERROR MESSAGE - If the thermometer or probe has
developed a fault, the instrument will show Err.
EMC/RFI - Instrument performance may be affected if
operated within a high frequency radio field, such as near
a mobile phone, or if subjected to an electrostatic shock.
GUARANTEE - This instrument carries a two-year warranty
against defects in either components or workmanship. During
this period, products that prove to be defective will, at the
discretion of ThermoWorks, be either repaired or replaced
without charge. This warranty does not apply to probes,
where a six-month period is offered. The product warranty
does not cover damage caused by fair wear and tear, abnormal
storage conditions, incorrect use, accidental misuse, abuse,
neglect, misapplication or modification. Full details of liability

FR - FONCTIONNEMENT DE L’INSTRUMENT - Appliquer la
pointe de la sonde sur la substance ou la surface à mesurer.
La lecture peut prendre quelques secondes pour se stabiliser,
selon la nature de l’élément à mesurer.
CHANGER DE FAHRENHEIT EN CELSIUS - Maintenez la
touche “ON / OFF" pendant 5 secondes et la température
affichée va changer entre °F à °C.
REMPLACEMENT DES PILES - 'LO BAT' (piles faibles) pour
avertir que les piles auront besoin d’être changées bientôt.
L’instrument continuera la mesure avec précision mais, après
avoir être encore utilisé, l’instrument affichera 'flat bat' (piles
plates) et s’éteindra. Remplacez les piles par trois piles AAA
situées sous le couvercle arrière qui est maintenue en place
par une seule vis.
MESSAGE D'ERREUR - En cas d’erreur du thermomètre ou
de la sonde, le thermomètre affiche Err.

SOSTITUZIONE DELLE BATTERIE - Lo strumento visualizzerà
'LO BAT' (batteria bassa) per avver tire che le batterie devono
essere cambiate presto. Lo strumento continua a misurare con
precisione ma dopo un uso ulteriore lo strumento visualizzerà
'flat bat' (batteria scarica) e si spegnerà. Sostituire le batterie
con tre batterie AAA situate sotto il coperchio posteriore che
è fissato da una sola vite.
MESSAGGIO DI ERRORE - Se il termometro o la sonda hanno
un difetto di funzionamento sullo strumento apparirà Err.
PT - UTILIZAR O INSTRUMENTO - Aplique a extremidade da

MUDANÇA DE FAHRENHEIT PARA CELSIUS - Pressione

SUBSTITUIÇÃO DA PILHA - O instrumento exibirá 'LO
BAT' (Pilhas fracas) para avisar que as pilhas terão de ser
substituídas brevemente. O instrumento continua a fazer a
medição com precisão, mas se continuar a ser utilizado, exibirá 'Pilhas descarregadas' e desligará. Substitua as pilhas
com três pilhas AAA colocadas sob a tampa, na parte de
trás, que está fixada por um só parafuso.
ERROR MESSAGE (MENSAGEM DE ERRO) - Se o
termómetro ou sonda tiver desenvolvido um defeito aparecerá
a mensagem 'Err'.
ES - FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL INSTRUMENTO - Introduzca la
punta de la sonda en la sustancia, medio o superficie a medir.
Es posible que el lector del instrumento tarde unos segundos
en estabilizarse, dependiendo de la naturaleza de la medición.
CAMBIO DE FAHRENHEIT A CELSIUS - Pulse y mantenga
pulsado el botón "ON / OFF" durante 5 segundos y la
temperatura en pantalla cambiará entre °F a °C.
CAMBIO DE PILA - El instrumento registrará en el visualizador
'LO BAT' para indicar que las pilas se están agotando. El
instrumento seguirá tomando mediciones con exactitud, pero
si se sigue utilizando aparecerá 'flat bat' (pila agotada) y se
apagará. Hay que reponer las tres pilas AAA situadas debajo
de la tapa en la parte posterior del instrumento. La tapa está
fijada con un solo tornillo.
MENSAJE DE ERROR - Si el termómetro o la sonda tienen
fallos, el instrumento registra ERR.
