Thermometer
INSTRUMENT OPERATION - The instrument
is switched on by pressing the ON/OFF button
located on the front of the thermometer. Insert
the probe into the substance being measured.
The instrument reading may take a few seconds
to stabilize, depending on the nature of the
measurement. The instrument will automatically
turn off after 10 minutes.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT - The battery will
need to be replaced when the instrument
displays 'FLAt bAtt' or if the battery empty
icon is displayed. Replace the battery with a 3
volt lithium coin cell (CR2032). The battery is
located at the top of the instrument, twist the
cap anti-clockwise and pull to remove.
ERROR MESSAGE - If the thermometer or
probe has developed a fault the instrument will
show 'Err'.
EMC/RFI - Instrument performance may be
affected temporarily if operated within a high
frequency radio field, such as near a mobile
phone, or if subjected to an electrostatic shock.
GUARANTEE - This instrument carries a
two-year warranty against defects in either
components or workmanship. During this
period, products that prove to be defective
will, at the discretion of ThermoWorks, be
either repaired or replaced without charge. This
warranty does not apply to probes, where a sixmonth period is offered. The product warranty
does not cover damage caused by fair wear
and tear, abnormal storage conditions, incorrect
use, accidental misuse, abuse, neglect,
misapplication or modification. Full details
