INSTALLATION AND USE INSTRUCTIONS

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

A free-flow heater makes hot water run freely out of the shower head without any interference switches. The
switch for operating the device must be always installed before the inlet union.
CHOOSE A MULTI-TURN SWITCH FOR EASY HANDLING.
The correct position is when the inlet-outlet water union faces the floor (fig. 1, 2). The minimum working
pressure is 2 bar. Two electrical switches enable us to adjust heating capacity depending on the season.
Finally, it collaborates effectively with the solar water heater.

INSTALLATION - PLUMBING CONNECTION

K3p THERMITRON is provided with water by the water supply network at a pressure of 2 to 8 bar. In the
bathroom, they are placed on the wall, at a height of around 1.60 meters from the floor and are connected
with pressure spirals from the shower head of the tub or shower (SEE FIGURE 1) or by providing a network
from another point of the bath with the use of a water switch (SEE FIGURE 2).
NOTE: Before connecting the device to the water supply network, let some water run to clean the pipes.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

The electrical connection to the network is performed via a flexible tripolar cable, with a cross-section
depending on the indicated power of the device (SEE TECHNICAL DATA TABLE), and through an all-pole
switch with contacts separated by at least 3 mm. The wires in the terminal strip must be screwed correctly
to avoid damage due to poor contact.

FINISHING THE INSTALLATION

After installation is complete and the cover of the device is closed, drag the two switches 2-3 times up and
down and set the switch to OFF position. Then turn on water to run out of the shower head for a few seconds
and the device is now now ready for use.

NOTE

THERMITRON device works automatically by turning the water on and off.
However, if after each use you first set the switch to position OFF and then turn off the water, you will
achieve something very important. You will avoid the accumulation of salts in the chamber of the device for
many years, helping in its longevity.

HANDLING - TEMPERATURE SETTING

Set the switches to HIGH position and turn on water until LED lights up (ON MINIMUM WATER QUANTITY
WHICH ACTIVATES THE DEVICE). After 8-10 seconds, you will note that the water is hot, with a constant
temperature. If you would like it more lukewarm, just slightly increase the flow.

When the weather is warm (SUMMER), use positions MED or LOW, always repeating the same setting
process.

NOTE:

a. GREATER WATER FLOW - LOWER TEMPERATURE
b. SMALLER WATER FLOW - HIGHER TEMPERATURE

HIGH POSITION = WINTER
MED POSITION = SUMMER
LOW POSITION = SUMMER
OFF POSITION = DOES NOT OPERATE

FOR MORE HOT WATER DURING SUMMER, REPLACE THE MIDDLE RING OF THE SHOWER
DIFFUSER WITH THE CORRESPONDING ONE WHICH IS IN THE BAG.

USEFUL INFORMATION

• In order to ensure proper operation of your device, you must keep it free of rubbish and salts with natural
cleaning.

• If LED is not lit when turning on water, this means that the water supply pressure is very low.

• If LED lights up but the there is no hot water, you will have to contact the maintenance service

department of THERMITRON.

• Any unauthorized modification or action contrary to the instructions and installation guide can be the
reason for malfunction or even damage.

• If the device is installed in an area where water freezes in the winter, it is necessary to empty any

remaining water by loosening the cold water outlet.
