You will need a Phillips crosshead screwdriver, perhaps
your PC case manual and most certainly your
motherboard manual.

1.2.1 Do not pull the AC power cord when the power supply is in
use or else damage to components will result.
1.2.2 Do not store the Power Supply in a high humidity and high
temperature environment.
1.2.3 High voltages exist in the power supply. Do not open the
power supply case unless you are an authorized service
technician or electrician.
1.2.4 All warrantees and guarantees shall be voided should there
be a failure to comply with any of the warnings and cautions
covered in this manual.

3.2 Installation Steps

Ground yourself to remove any static by briefly touching your PC case
and then, disconnect the power cord from your main power supply.

Follow your computer case manual and disassemble the case.

Remove the front drive bay and insert the Power Express 450W into the 5.25" drive bay.
<Note> Please be sure to bolt on all 4 screws to secure the power supply in the chassis. (Some chassis has tool-free installation for 5.25" devices, so you don't need 4 screws to install Power Express 450W for those chassis.)

Connect Power Express 450W to the main power supply unit by the 24­pin adapter and 2-pin PS_on connector.
a. Connect the 24-pin adapter to the motherboard 24-pin socket.
b. Connect the 24-pin connector to the main power supply and the 2-pin PS_on connector to Power Express 450W.
b. Slightly push the AC power cord (white connector side) through the slot until the white connector is completely inside the case.
c. Put the wire protector and slot cover on the cable and assemble them by pushing the wire protector into the slot cover.
<Note> Be sure the wire protector and slot cover are inside the chassis after the assembling.

Connect the AC power cord through the PCI-slot.

Connect the 6pin or 8pinPCI-E connector to your graphic cards.

Turn on the Power Express 450W. It will not activate until the main power supply is turned on.
<Note> On the face plate of the Power Express 450W, there are 3 LED displays showing the status of the Power on, +12V1, and +12V2 respectively.

Check:
1-1 Is the AC inlet plug firmly plugged into the PSU inlet
socket?
1-2 Is the wall socket, extension power cord, power strip
or surge protector in use, fully functional and wall power
switch turned 'ON'?
1-3 Is the Main Board socket (20+4pin) plug fully and firmly
inserted?
Condition 2: The fan or fans began rotating and then stopped.
The system hangs without proceeding any further.
Check:

2-2 If a plug has been inadvertently connected in an off-set or
reversed position, unplug the AC power source, reconnect
the offending connectors and then wait for 30 seconds
before replug in the AC power source and try again.
Note:
If the power supply is still unable to power up after
following the above instruction, please send the unit back to
your dealer or retailer for after sales service.
