IMPORTANT INFORMATION
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
This heater is designed to heat and create a comfortable environment indoors during the colder seasons. The heater can be installed vertically in a place where it is possible to connect to 220V-240V single phase power supply wiring. This heating unit is easy to use and install. It is efficient, featuring improved heat transfer and maximum comfort heat flow distribution.
For your own safety and to ensure correct use, please read the following information carefully before using the appliance for the first time.
This manual contains important information regarding your safety as well as recommendations on the proper operation of the product and its maintenance. The purchased heater may slightly differ from the one described in this manual, however the methods of use and operation will be the same. Important precautions and instructions contained in this manual, do not account for all possible modes and situations that may occur.
A number of precautions are to be observed when operating the convector heater. Improper operation as a result of ignoring precautions may harm the health of the user and other people, as well as damage property.
1. Read all instructions prior to operating the heater.
2. The unit is not intended to be used by people (including children) with limited
physical, sensory or intellectual capabilities, having insufficient experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised or have received instructions on how to use the unit from a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
3. When the heater is operating it heats up to a very high temperature. To
prevent burns, do not touch the hot surfaces of the heater with your hands or
other parts of the body.
4. The heater must be placed a clear distance of 500mm in front and 150mm
above any nearby objects.
5. Do not install or position this heater immediately below a socket outlet.
6. Allow the heater to cool down before moving it to a different location or
packing away in storage.
7. When not using for a long period of time, store the heater in a cool dry place.
8. DO NOT COVER THE UNIT during operation. Do not dry clothes or other fabrics
and materials on the unit as this may cause it to overheat, fail or inflict
significant damage to you and/or your property.
9. Switch OFF and unplug the heater from the mains power supply when it is not
in use. Make sure you unplug the plug and not pull the supply cable.

10. The heater is equipped with an Australian-standard plug with an earthing pin.
KEY FEATURES
The plug must match the Australian-standard outlet with an earthing socket.
If the plug doesn’t enter the outlet, then you need to call a licensed
electrician to replace the electric outlet. Never use the unit if the plug is not
fully connected to the outlet.
11. Do not touch the control panel or any parts of the heater with wet hands.
12. Do not use the heater if the power cord or plug is damaged. Contact a
technical person or Beacon Lighting for replacement.
13. Stop using the heater immediately if it appears to be damaged in anyway
and seek the assistance of a technical person.
14. For indoor use only. Do not use this heater outdoors.
15. Do not place the power cord under carpet. Always place the power cord in a
position out of the way where no one can trip over it.
16. Do not insert fingers or any foreign objects into any ventilation, air intakes or air
outlets. It may cause electric shock or damage to the heater.
17. Do not use the heater in places, where petroleum, paint or any other
flammable liquids are open or stored.
18. Use this heater only as instructed by this manual. Any other use is not
recommended by the manufacturer as it may result in a fire, electric shock or
injuring of people.
19. It is not recommended to use an extension cable. If you use an extension
cable, the extension cable core size must be the same as the heater’s supply
cable core size (1mm²).

Wall mounting the heater
1. Remove all packaging material from the product.
2. Determine the place to install heater, observing minimum distances from objects
and minimum distance from the floor (refer to diagram below).
Precaution! This heater is suitable for use in bathrooms, only when it is fixed wall mounted. The location must be within accordance to AS/NZS 3000. This heater, having an IPX4 rating, MUST only be mounted within zone 2 and 3 (refer to diagram above) of the bathroom outline in section 6.2, of AS/NZS 3000: 2007, and positioned so that the control panel and power switches cannot be touched by a person in the bath or shower in zone 1.
3. Mark the height at which the heater is to be mounted and then place the
bracket onto the wall.

4. Put visible marks in the mounting holes.
1. Take 2 legs out from the packaging.
2. Turn the unit over so that the lower end of the
unit is at the top.
3. Attach the legs to the lower end of the unit
from the left and right sides so that the mounting holes coincide with the holes on the unit case.
4. Fasten the mounting screws in the present
holes.
5. Place the unit on a smooth surface, strictly in a
vertical position. The unit is ready to use.
Precaution! When this heater is used with the legs installed and provides portability, DO NOT use this heater in the immediate surroundings of wet areas such as a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.
5. Drill holes where marked, insert dowels (for extra support where applicable),
attach the mounting bracket and fasten screws to secure the bracket to the wall (figure 1).
6. Suspend the heater onto the bracket by holding the unit at a 50 degree angle.
Attach the lower part of the unit to the lower extension of the bracket first (figure
2).
7. Move the unit up vertically until the upper extension of the bracket coincides with
the upper slots of the unit. Press on the unit until you hear a click.
8. To dismount the unit, press the leverages of the brackets upper extensions and
disconnect the unit from it. Carry out the above mentioned steps in reverse order.

CONNECTION TO ELECTRICAL MAINS
1. The heater is designed to be connected to 220V-240V single phase voltage mains
with a grounding circuit.
2. Prior to connection, make sure the parameters of electrical mains in the place of
connection comply with parameters indicated on the identification plate outlining the technical data of the unit.
3. It is essential to follow active electrical safety precautions when connecting the
heater to the electrical mains.
Control Panel
1. Timer button – Used to activate the timer function to switch off.
2. Timer indicator – This is illuminated when the heater is switched on/off and the
timer function is activated.
3. Power indicator – This is illuminated when the power switch is turned on when the
unit is connected to the electrical mains.
4. Economy mode indicator – This is illuminated when the heater is operating in the
economy mode.
5. Normal mode indicator – This is illuminated when the heater is operating in the
normal mode.
6. LCD display – Shows temperature, timer settings, heater power modes as well as running programs. To switch the display, press and hold tºc button, for 3 seconds.
7. Heating temperature selection button – Used to set the heating temperature in
the normal and economy operating modes.
8. Down button – Used to decrease the selected value or scroll.
9. Up button – Used to increase the selected value or scroll.
10. Programming button – This is used to select programmes.
11. Mode button – Used to select the operation mode, low or high power.
12. Copy button – Used to copy settings.
13. Power button – Used to switch the heater on/off.

USER GUIDE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Plug the heater to the electrical mains and switch ON. Switch the Power button
ON (located on the side of the control panel) and the Power indicator should light up red.
2. Heating power mode selection
Press the Mode button to enter the power selection. Use the Up/Down button to set the temperature you desire.
3. Time setting
Press the Mode button 2 times to program a day. Use the Up/Down button to select the day of the week you wish to set. After the day is selected, press the Mode button to set the time in hours. Use the Up/Down button to set the hour. Once the hour has been selected, press the Mode button again to set the minutes. Use the Up/Down button to set the minutes.
4. Temperature setting
The temperature can be set within the range of +5 to +30 degrees celsius in increments of 1 degree. The normal mode temperature is currently set at 24 degrees celsius and the economy temperature is set at 17 degrees celsius. To change the default temperatures, press the Heating temperature selection
button (tºc) once to adjust normal mode or twice to adjust economy mode. The
last set temperature will then start blinking on the screen. Press the Up/Down
button to adjust the temperature as desired.
5. Antifreeze mode
Press (tºc) button 3 times to select the antifreeze mode. The heater will
automatically maintain the temperature within +5 degrees celsius by switching the heater on/off from time to time.

DIY PROGRAMMING
1. To start programming press the Programming button and then using the Up/Down
button, navigate until you get to ‘DIY’.
2. Press (tºc) button to enter the program mode.
3. Press the Up/Down button to start programming the 0-24 hours bar. Once the
programming is complete press the Timer button to save the setting. Complete the steps above to program the rest of the week.
4. If you want to use the same program you have already saved for a day you can
copy it. Find the program for the day you wish to copy. Press the Programming button and then using the Up/Down button, navigate until you get to ‘DIY’. Then
press (tºc) button to enter programming mode. Press the Timer button to select
the required day of the week. After the required day is selected, press the Copy button. The COPY symbol will appear on the screen, the selected day setting has now been copied. Select the Timer button and then select the day you wish to use the copied setting on. Once the day has been selected, press the Copy button. The COPY symbol will now disappear and the day selected will now have the same settings as the one copied.
Heater switch off - timer function
When the heater is operating, press the Timer button once. Use the Up/Down button to set the heater to switch off at a desired time. To set the minutes, press the Timer button once again and use the Up/Down button again to select the desired minutes. The heater will switch off after the timer expires.
Heater switch on - timer function
When the heater is switched off and only the power indicator is illuminated, press and hold the Timer button for 3 seconds. Use the Up/Down button to set the heater to switch on at a desired time. To set the minutes, press the Timer button once again and use the Up/Down button again to select the desired minutes.
Lock
When the heater is operating, to lock the system, simultaneously press and hold the Up and Down buttons for 3 seconds. A lock symbol will then appear on the screen. To unlock the system, simultaneously press and hold the Up/Down buttons for 3 seconds.
Memory restart function
In the case of a short term power outage, the heater will automatically switch on and will operate in the last user settings once the power supply is restored.
Maintenance
The unit must be cleaned regularly to remove dust and dirt from external surfaces. Prior to any maintenance, switch the heater off at the power supply and ensure it has cooled down. Use a clean, damp cloth when cleaning. Do not use detergents.
